Took students on a field trip to the rocky shore in Devon. found a box of live flares on the rocks and realised I'd need to hand that in , as they don't mix well with teenage wisdom levels.

When we dialled the emergency services they sent the coastguard to deal with it.

instead of by helicopter or speedboat, rather anticlimatically they came by car! :D
You get a full bomb disposal squad if you find what looks like a proper bomb .... we get those occasionally. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/cornwall/7209597.stm

I have just picked up a good business idea, as I was doing somebody a favour. Always a bonus. This is product/offline/proper business.... not airy fairy online stuff. :)

I should share it with LIR .... it's ideal and we could cover a bigger area.

I never get that. In every day, in every way, for every thing, it's all down to me. Which is why I often just eat toast, sandwiches or a pasty.

Youshould come for the day some time and i will cook something without mushrooms.

Frankly, cookiong easioer than the drive though! Unless you do move to sandbanks.:D

I would be up for thinking about an idea.

I still have not cleared space in my pm box. I had four of those emails that tell you someone has tried to send you one, but i know believe at least one of those four people to be a weirdo, while three are chums, (so may also be weird but in a different way):D

Just had to go and pick up a hire suit for the wedding I'm going to next weekend from regents st. Ugh. It was horribly busy and too hot. The suit fits though which is a bonus.

The bride wants to vet my best man speech. There's nothing bad in there but I don't think this is a reasonable request, I can see an argument coming...

Compromise.... Give her a flash card with bullet points. One bullet point should rea something flattering about her.

I've read your mind, and I've got to warn you that your proposed Nice Person's Bomb Disposal Service(TM) may find there's a bit of a government monopoly already in place. Plus the insurance costs!

Two speeches..... by the time you deliver the real one it's too late. In the meantime, keep her sweet with the nicely nicely one.

pfft insurance, we can hire the homeless and give them wheelbarrows to transport the items... nobody's going to care if a few homeless people lose an arm or leg. . . and replacement wheelbarrows are easy to find.

To day my mother and husband were horrified at me weeding, plucking out nettles without gloves on. Sometimes my condition is helpful, today i cannot really feel my hands that well, so only tingles a bit. A polish friend of mine used to make her kid walk through nettles as apparently it is believed this has a positive impact on stopping arthritis developing, so who knows, in the longterm nettle stinga i cannot feel milght be a painless approach to good health.

I am sure however, i would notice limb loss through bomb disposal. We have them popping up around here for various reasons. Shortly after we arrived there was a note asking peopple not to move the bomb further away from the village if you found it, nor cordone it off or put a tradfic cone on top pf it.but to keep the hell away:rotfl:
