fingers crossed for the scan lir
has anyone od the npt complained to the nhs via pals? did you get a satisfactory result?
PALS are not a part of the complaints process. They are supposed to be a liaison point between service users & staff to smooth out problems, & to ideally prevent the need for a complaint. My experience is that pals are patchy - it will vary trust to trust.
If the issue is minor, & could be relatively straightforwardly resolved, then they may be able to help.
More formal complaints would go through the trusts complaints procedure (usually by writing to the cheif exec). Independent support is available from an organisation called ICAS (the current contract is held by a company called POhWER):

PALS = patient liaison service? We didn't exactly complain to them about MIL, but we were at our wits' end and they sorted things out really well. It obviously depends on whom you are dealing with, but this lady knew her way around the system and was a great help.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
I missed that LIR was having a scan. Also hoping for a good result. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

It's with regards to guidelines that have been set out by the trust for access to treatment which are frankly, insulting and discriminatory.
will start with PALS and see where it goes. Happy to take it all the way
