Yesterday, today had a 'yellow rain warning'. Have woken up to sunshine, and apparently only light rain on it's way.0 -

Not long (within a week) after moving here, a friend was in the general area to stay with her parents (must have been Easter I think), so we were going to meet up. Being used to getting around on public transport in the big smoke and not wanting to have to borrow one of my parents' cars (hadn't driven for a while and knew we would be having a few drinks) I thought I would get the bus to where she was staying. I guessed it would be about £3-4 for a ticket (possibly even for a return). It was more like £6-7.
Next time I went I borrowed the car instead, as the petrol worked out much cheaper.
I also managed to get off at the wrong stop so had to get my friend to drive to the next village to pick me up0 -
fingers crossed for the scan lir

We had differing results from the two complaints we put in, which I think were through PALS. Ultimately, your response is in the hands of the ward itself. Same hospital, one admitted all their errors and said how they'd changed their procedures; a nice formal response. Other ward's attitude was pretty much "!!!! happens".
You can't fight all causes all of the time.... so sibling just went through the processes of complaining about things (we've had immaculate notes due to emails of progress/events between us)... but when we get a result we leave it at that as there's no energy in pursuing a bad response... because by then we're onto other complaints at other organisations0 -

It's crazy isn't it? We often drive to the tube to go into London because its cheaper. If I want to go to Wembley for a concert or sporting event, its way cheaper. I can drive to Stanmore, street park for free, get a tube for £1.40 each way with my Oyster card (journey approx 5 miles). To get into the local town centre by bus here it is far more than that and only a mile. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Took a week exactly for for the EHIC card to arrive ( I ordered it on the evening of 3/7).
DD's on holiday already so not sure where that leaves us. She's got insurance and it cost enough so maybe it won't be important.
My nokia phone fell in a puddle when I was taking the dog for a walk and a car went over it. So, my SIM's in my even grottier old phone and I'm leaving my Nokia to dry for a day before I try a replacement battery in it (battery's ruined).
I ordered when you mentioned and one lot arrived yesterday, the other order (for my over 19 son who can't be ordered with the rest) hasn't arrived.
DS is already on holiday and I looked it up online and, provided you own a card you don't have to have it with you to access the NHS equivalent medical care.
On other threads, people have recommended putting water damaged phones in bowls of uncooked rice to dry out - and they talk of a week not a day.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
