Nightmare week. :rotfl: just remember how long it was last time, this will be a flash in the pan. Bought salad was inedible....the lettuce was funky.:(

I am running a bath now...need to be clean for hospital but also will jot have either kitchen OR the bath tomorrow night, not bad at all to be one or two nights with out a bathroom, i am not stressed.

Staying calm about scans tomorrow too. I am SO tired. Scan might be an opportunity to have short nap. I took a kip with the dog in the dog bed today.

Hope it goes well :) Will be thinking of you.

Sadly OH's mother had a mini stroke the other day. Doesn't look too bad now but you never know when the next one could be :(

I have managed to pick up some bits of news and the tales of your exlploring have been great reading PN. Do you reckon you'll stay there for long? I love that area.

On a personal note I think I need a sabbatical but can't work out how to do one (6 months would be nice). OH and I looked at the calendar and there was a possible 9 days in November.

.....got planning now waiting for building controls and quote for the front (then the back) and I can join Micheals and LIR in the building tales. Dreading having the work done but the after is the reward I guess.

Due to my cruddy worn out mental state I have absolutely zero ideas on interiors...nought...usually I can see it in my minds eye but it's currently totally empty. Bit scary actually.

I our dog talked to other dogs, he'd be saying the same sort of thing, though I hope in his case he'd refer to Doozergirl in the Doozer bed, and not "dog".

I am a bit woried big dog might be wanted to come and live with doozerdog. Dog dog is safe though...she nipped a backside today:o:o

I had a feeling you might! I like it too, it's incredibly charming, like a Hansel and Gretel style Gingerbread House. The windows have clearly been made to fit the wonky openings, someone has genuine love for it; whether other people agree is perhaps still to be seen, but it looks like it's been on a while.

I hope so - it's an eye-opener to see so many things/so much stuff. Shops I was used to travelling a 40 mile round trip for, to visit one small branch, appear to be in abundance here, with multiple outlets!!

So many independents too, offering twee and touristy interesting stuff.... like the gollypop shop I saw.

Getting a feel for this 3 square mile area.... will be branching out to new parts of the town/s in the next few days.... so I am not geographically challenged (aka lost) easily :)

Understanding the buses is a nightmare.... they are all supposed to 'work together' with a shared ticketing system. One ticket = any bus. But that's "any bus of the companies in the scheme" only they don't tell you who those are. But, there are two big companies. One sells you a ticket to use any of their buses for 1 day or 7 days (or 30, 60, 90). The other one sells you a ticket to use any of their buses for 10/20/30 journeys or a day or a week or a month.

But, there's a secret, hidden ticket that they don't tell you about ... you have to very specifically ask for it. It enables you to travel on all buses (well, certainly those two big ones and maybe another/others). And today I discovered (allbeit like pulling teeth) how to buy those tickets. You can get them for 1 day, 5 days or 10 days. But, to buy them you have to first have a plastic card, which you can only get in Town B.... once you have the card you then buy a top-up for it. But you can't just get an empty card, you have to get the plastic card and top it up to get started.

So ... I now need to work out whether it's better to buy a ticket from company A for a week, or Company B for a week ... or go for the magic ticket for 5 or 10 days ... or what combination would work best.

It's so difficult when you're new and don't know where you'll want to go.

Have n't had a scan for over two years, my choice. I am used to them, but am being driven by my mother, because she wants to go shopping so it suits her to have me drive in to the city, then if i have anything happen that makes driving unsafe she can come to the hospital and drive me home. So mutually beneficial.

It is meant yo be toerential rain today, but its been a beautiful morning, really lovely.
