While, or when, you're able, find out about Patient Transport Services - specifically Volunteer Drivers. Round this way they pick you up and wait while you have an appointment (usually up to about 2 hours max) .... and they charge 40p/mile. You need to have the booking number to hand, so you've at least got the potential for other options for the next time.

Volunteer drivers are cheaper than a taxi, but you can't usually just get one on demand, of course.... but if you've not investigated the system and got the number to hand, then it won't be an option if you ever have to consider it.
Parent will be able to drive me iN the future. Should it be needed, which i am hoping it will not. I will be driving parent for their appts though, so fair is fair.:D

Well played Murray, outplayed but 1-1, wow that was an important point. That could be a crucial.

Glad you have got advice for your sight. If you had come on here and said that you had lost the sight in one eye, I know we all would have sent you to the gp quicker. Please look after yourself.

    Anyone use quidco?

They have an App thing for certain smartphones. You go in a store that is on their system check-in using the App and they pay you for visiting. Very amusing. Out on the car with OH and we got stuck in traffic near a Sainsburys and a Tesco and Clarks shoes. Each time I checked in and got paid 5p for visiting the store. Very amusing.

Great - only 100 visits and you will have earned back the £5 per year that quidco charge you..where as topcashback is free and pays 1% more cashback:

Yes, well done Murray, he gets to be British for a few more days. If he loses the semi, then he will of course go back to being Scottish. However if he actually goes on to be the first man from here since Fred Perry to win at Wimbledon, there will doubtless be at least one reporter from one corner of the world that calls him English. He must be thrilled.
