I have only yesterday noticed I have tomato flowers appearing, but not yet open!argh.gif

We now have little green ones, about 2cm wide.
I took the advice of JonnyBravo (I think) and am now overdosing the toms on all things fertilizing. Poured 5 bags of composted manure on the tomato patch before planting, regularly throw some chicken pellets on them and Tomorite to follow. :D

I generally wait til flowers/fruit appear before feeding.

I'm hoping that summer is merely delayed, & I'll have a bumper sept/oct/nov crop!;)

Glad you're ok. Hopefully building a relationship with the GP will prevent any future lapses?

Could you kindly just run this past me again please, LIR? If it were my brain I would be less laid back about it, as I don't have any spares. (EDIT: I am not suggesting that you do, either, but you seem to be remarkably calm about it.)
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Yep, thats my hope. He was really nice. I said first thing about the latrophobia and he said very wise. He was a bit surprised it was not consultants when i said that was ok, and he said we will need bloods is that ok and i explained not only was that ok but i could do 'em myself, and was not in the least squeamish. Its a very limited phobia really. I was pretty bad though, sweating and shaking and eyes leaking while i explained that i am normally rather pragmatic and that the problem was while i recognise it as a phobia i can not recognise it as illogical. He seemed to get it as much as he could. So he has the misfortune, i have decided, of being my new doctor.

    Poor blighter.

Lovely. Do you have a date for when that was?

Eh? I thought you were going there this evening. So the GP came out to do a home visit, did he? So very glad you got on well with him. Hope that really helps you feel more confident about things next time you're unwell and need to see a doc.

So, DS is home. He seems to have had a good time. He told me rather triumphantly that I was wrong about him not making new friends, because he'd made some already in his new tutor group. I bit my tongue and refrained from pointing out that he was the one who said he didn't want any new friends and was going to refuse to join in with anything or get to know anyone. I'm just so happy his mental health has improved so much. :D
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Yeahj, well its broken already. I was a bit worried i might have broken something else.

Its quite reasonable really. I am more well than i was fice years ago, and its all bonus time, its fine now, which means it might reoccur but is likely to go away again. (like many of my other symptoms). It has the bonus of not being painful and not actually restricting anything i do, if one still works. The brain is amazing, it works out new ways to do things. My eye otself looks fine on the gp exam, and i will be seeing someone up daddy bears way i think.

Daddy bear is often really cross, so i am a bit scared in case its him and he is a meany....anyone able reassure me he is not to do with brains or eyes?

I think she means it is just another effect of the problem she already knows she's got, and has come to terms with, and not something new and therefore potentially threatening in new ways.

lir - I hope that's not putting the wrong words in your mouth. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, and yes, he came here......like stink too. Which was impressive. Everything happened quite quickly this afternoon so i must haven mised the bit out when the local surgery sent him instead of the plan to see out of hours.
