Structurally, the rock has been surveyed and it's OK for another 100 years (allegedly).... however, it gets ferkin windy up there - and that bridge sways. To get to the bridge, you park in the single garage, no parking in front of it, then you have to lug everything along the path, across a footpath, down a few steps, then let yourself into your door. Now, at this point, season depending, you might have already encountered undesirables. Once safely behind your gate, you now have to walk across that bridge, unprotected from the elements. It's VERY windy there, which might limit your ability to carry things across.
There's also the constant danger of idiots trying to clamber up the rock from the beach .... and subsequent rescues.

There is a poster called kittie on the OS board who subscribes to a weather forecast by Piers Corbin which has been very accurate.
Suggests wet for about half of July and August at least. Oh Joy.
I keep hoping to be able to eat meals in the garden but only had a few nice days so far.
Need to dash out and look for bathroom stuff. The "person" we bought the house from nearly 2 years ago has tiled on top of tiles on the bathroom floor and whole room has to be gutted.
I keep wondering what else he has bodged er done that we still have to discover. Irony is on the surface it looks really good and he had his own building business. Just grateful the actual house is well built and we love where it is situated etc.
Turns out he blocked a couple of drains by putting paving stones on top and then lots of earth on top so garage was flooding heavily when it rained. I had to practically paddle to get to the freezer.

weren't the owners of that cottage on tv a lot a couple of years ago moaning on and on about the yobbos on the beach having ridiculous parties every night and making it unbearable to live there?
of course that might be exactly what you're looking for...!0 -

Are we still going to be having excessive rain in 3 weeks? Is this month a washout already? What about next month?:(
Don't know about 3 weeks but netweather.tv does a relatively accurate one two weeks out. Every time I've looked at it for the past 4 months it has said rain for another two weeks and it has been right:(.
You can put in your specific area, though I don't see how that can be accurate the further out you get. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Ah, i was wondering who did. I was hoping to get a forecast for a particular date but have to subscrcibe. I am close enough to wait now i think tillit comes in the two week look ahead thing.0 -
It's not raining here, in fact, it is most def sit out in the garden type of weather rather than a spring clean sort.
Unfortunately, I chose to do a spring clean and have now overheated to such an extent I feel sick.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Cloudy with the occasional spe/l of brief sunshine here.
When I went out to water the plants that are still in greenhouses yesterday evening, I found the lawn was very squelchy - it is that waterlogged!
Thatk you elona - I will google...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Sue, be careful.
I have finally admitted i need to see a doctor, so phoned my old gp and had a chat and she told me off and i said i just did not feel up to driving over to her and know i need to sort myself out over here, so dh made an appt for the new doctor on saturday. My old gp phoned him ans told him to explain the latrophobia and offered to call herself again, but dh said he would do it. There was a big discussion about irgency, and i said i would go today alone, but they cannot see me today, the soonest is saturday, even though dh could come in with me on friday, they do not have an appt.seems quite good, saturday, not too long. I am better if i can just go the same day, less time to think about it, but thats not their fault!
I am more worried about the appt that the symptom. I lost vision in my right eye last night. Its back now, but have to admit i was a little scared last night. Not now though, just realise that vision is quite important to me, so worth just having it looked at.0 -

Pastures, how do you know so much about it? Anyway, that bridge must cost a fair bit to maintain. It must be specialist work just to paint it.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
I am afraid with losing vision, I would be insisting on an immediate appointment and not one for days later, especially with your history and broken brain. In fact, I think if I had been there, you would have been trundled up to the nearest A&E last night as it is not the best symptom in the world to have.
I'm fine, I've now taken myself off to rest up for a little while and try out my new speaker for my laptop, I got peed off with very crap sound (my old desktop had a gorgeous and very decent sub woofer, two side speakers and surround sound) as I love my music. Have now found an attachable speaker which although not as good as my old sound system, is a hell of a lot better than the laptop's normal speakers. We made it!
