I used to do that all the time in our flat. Studio flat so fridge in the bedroom/ bed in the kitchen depending how you look at it. You'll be ok0 -

When I was doing post-graduate studies I was in a research institute miles from any town and for nearest cities I was 35 miles from Oxford and 32 from Cambridge.
I finished using the equipment one night and went down to the front door and turned off the lights and stepped out of the lab.
Big mistake. No street lights, no starlight (it was cloudy), no moon.
Utter black - I couldn't tell ground from sky. Turned round and all I could see was numbers on a digital display on a machine in somebody else's labs. Had to go back in, turn on the lights and use that light to find my way to my car, then start it up and put its headlights on so I could find it after I'd locked up the lab again.
Reminded me what a city boy I was. Living on the edge of Glasgow you could see mountains all around you but all you interacted with was the lit-up city around you. The utter silence and darkness of the countryside was alien to me.
Leave the light on as much as you need. Don't worry about it being a beacon- nobody will know how many people are in the caravan! There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
And they'd probably not choose fields with moo cows in/ nearby. I hope you manage to relax/ get some sleep PN and LIR I hope you get better soon and that you get some medical attention whether at yours or elsewhere. Night all x0

Personally, I think it has something to do with you giving them the space and encouragement to be themselves, and not to think about what they can't do but what they want to he able to do.
Do I remember correctly that what was the 2nd choice is in the E Mids? If so, that is where I was an undergrad (but different uni). Great place
Nope, his original second choice (now first choice) is Norwich university college of the arts (NUCA).
And aww thankyou for those comments. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Talking about things making you scared....
I was fast asleep last night having a lovely dream when bang, wide awake because the sound of something clicking had penetrated my sleep. I was instantly alert (damn OCD and out of place noises), turned the light on, checked around the house, checked plugs, for flood or leaks etc and could find nothing and the noise had stopped.
So I sat on the bed still on high alert, the cat settled down again and the noise started again.....
Jasper was cleaning himself.
Never felt such a blooming idiot, scared witless by the sound of a cat washing himself. We made it! OK I wouldn't recommend driving when drunk but I wouldn't recommend avoiding hospital when you need to go. CK's a bit far away but is there a nearer taxi service? By the way I know the answer's yes.
I've had someone in my car who's....errm....exceeded a certain limit tonight. I'm just waiting for my car to dry out, then I'm back out again. Next stop is Hertford to Airport, 4.30 pickup, then Ely to Luton at 8 pickup, so let me know if you need anything, assuming I'm going in the right general direction.

Peoblem subsiding after a good night's sleep. And its a pretty morning, so not wasting it, and we have friends coming for lunch.
In the end instead of an out of hours doctor a nurse called me. Her advice was directly contradictory to the nhs website for this sort of problem. Which is. Confusing.0 -
Pleased to hear it's getting better lir. Should it get worse again please seek some help? Otherwise have a fab day and hope the sun keeps shining for you.0

I'm sure Martin treats himself to a taxi nowadays
