Leave the light on as much as you need. Don't worry about it being a beacon- nobody will know how many people are in the caravan! :)
Yeah, the proper countryside is utter, utter blackness. Can't see your own hand in front of your face.... and in the dark .... you know there's monsters right?

Yeah, I thought that, that they don't know how many are in it..... but loonies can't count and don't care.

I cannot remember the name of the very excellent service in london where you drive where you are going to, then at the appointed hour they turn up on a bike, which folds up or comes apart, they put that ion your boot and drive you home. Its an excellent idea. It annoys me i cannot remember the name.

You're safe, the loonies are in Hertfordshire. For the third consecutive Saturday we had the police helicopter overhead searching with their lights and making our light fittings shake from the vibration:mad::mad:.

I have that - and the super-heightened sense of odd smells (everything is always burning....). I called a gas man to a leak a few months ago and he said "I am totally stunned you could notice it...... my machine can barely pick it up".

I've seen that on the telly.

http://www.scooterman.co.uk does it with a folding scooter, which was my memory (rather than bikes).

Kind of OK... I nodded off, then the torrential rain beating on the tincan roof woke me up... then I nodded off... and was eventually woken by some banging in the field as the cows' owner decided it was an ideal day to do something in the stable-like structure in the corner.

If we ever meet ... I'll tell a little story about this location ..... it has 'recent history' .... and ... er ... loony/ne'er do well connections... connections that might return. And ... it doesn't help that I was also googling this address and murder last night ...

    :)

The address is known locally for its past activities, not its address.

Oh gos, it sounds heavenly! I can understand why you would be unnerved but, wow. I am. A bit envious. We keep sayiong we will go and sleep in the dutch barn in the hope of a summer storm, but then it seems too exhausting to drage duvets out there and haul me up on top of the hay.
