If you ever buy a large TV, remember to put the box in your neighbour's dustbin... So they get robbed and not you.

This whole "finding somewhere to live" lark is very time-consuming.... and not got anywhere yet.

Looked at hotels/caravans - too expensive.
No time to contact agents, get through checks etc, pay exhorbitant rates.
Now on places like spareroom etc trawling, but many/most rooms are either with 19-25 year old students, or with blokes, or with families/kids.

my preference is to buy a very large plasma screen as they are so heavy that no one will actually bother to nick them. of course the fact that they cost more to run than they do to buy is a bit of a problem.

alternatively you could cut the box up into small pieces and put it inside a box for a grundig CRT tv or something and leave that outside!

Or take the box down the recycling tip, or rip into small pieces and put into a bin outside a supermarket.

but that will just leave you with the same burglary risk as before. the good thing about the grundig box is that it will actively reduce your burglary risk, possibly even to less than 0.
