I thought the football stuff was going on a different thread and this one was to stay nice?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I'm afraid this thread is a bit like the Village in the Prisoner. We think we can go elsewhere, but look where we end up, back here again. There is no outside:eek:There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

What forms are these ?
Here is an explanation of how the "K2" scheme works.
Basically the pay for selling labour is put into trust in Jersey and the trustees decide to lend this money to the person who "earned" it, presumably interest free.
The borrower will eventually die and his children as executors will be expected to pay back the trust. At his stage the UK government may or may not be able to grab 40% of the trust under InHeritance tax.
Presumably in Jersey trusts do not pay 50% income tax or an annual capital tax as those (with assets over £325k) do in the UK.
Something similar to this used to apply here in the UK. Cameron probably knows, as I bet he is the beneficiary of such a trust, but is finding it difficult to export it to somewhere in the word with low rates of income tax and low rates of capital tax.
Meanwhile here in the UK politicians are only too happy to survive by squandering the national wealth extracted by punitive tax rates and "taxation by inflation" aka "printing money" aka "quantitative easing".
All Jimmy Carr was seeking to do was live on borrowed money, safe in the knowledge that when the time came to repay it, it would have been devalued.
That is what we as a nation are trying to do.

It is the end of the line, as a naked ape kills off yet another family of its fellow creatures.
