I trust we're not talking London over the Olympics here are we- apologies if we've discussed this elsewhere, memory like a seive!

No, if it was London he could stay at home. In fact I suggested he find out if he could get access to London Uni library if there is some sort of reciprocal arrangement, but he wants to be at uni because he works better there.

I was the same; plus it was an excuse to spend the summer with Russian girls

(I did the first 2 years in Moscow, and 2nd 2 years in Krasnoyarsk for those that haven't kept up) :)

On the Skype thing earlier, this was what I meant

No smartphone = no deal unfortunately!

Edit: I feed it about £15/month and there's £41.62 on there at the moment. It's got the international calling pack on there at £7.50 (now £10 for new subs) and the rest is additional calls not included (Georgian mobiles and Russian numbers outside Moscow/St P being 2 that spring to mind). The balance has amassed over 12-ish months and I'm saving about £100/mth using it like this.

In the draw for a '62' Merc, £60k cash and a load of electricals I already have (4S, iPad 2, iMac, MacBook Pro etc)

    What happens then?

Youngest wouldn't mind the iMac or Macbook pro.....would save him having to save for the next two years to buy one himself.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

I'm having the iMac if I win it (got no chance)

Already got a Pro (one of the retina display ones) so Business Partners DD could make use of it, a d then you've got cheap video editing!

He's got an Ipod and Ipad and now desperately wants bigger. He saved up for both of them himself so I know he can do it, just it is going to take a lot longer than it did for those.

It's on my "to do" list to see/use an iPad, iPod and iPhone.... got no desire to own them .... but I've no idea really what they're about or why people want them.

It's like bl00dy mid-winter here. Freezing winds and constant rain, rain, rain... and I just had to go out in my jim-jams as a gate had started banging as the wind picked up.

Trying to work out what the weather's doing for the next 7-10 days and it looks like rain. Rain's no weather to travel in, or pack in ... or discover new towns in :(

I need to investigate new storage too.... upon arriving in the new town first stop off will be to offload the car of stuff before I go parking it in unknown towns etc, looking for somewhere to live/stay the night.

There must be thousands of vids on youtube showing how they work.

Wow! If PN doesn't want can I join the queue please?

For PNs benefit, the iphone 5 is expected out towards the end of the year, the current model is the 4S.
