That's so good! Put it in your sig.
BTW, you have every right to be angst-ridden. You are just about to embark on a massive building project, whilst running a [STRIKE]small[/STRIKE] farm, whilst DH is away a lot. The responsibility is awesome. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

I knew libraries had a couple of PCs where you could get 30 minutes' free Internet if you were lucky enough to get there when they weren't being used, but had no idea there'd be wifi... but then I guess the other problem is there's no space in a library to sit down, so you're most likely sitting on the floor in a quiet corner, cross-legged and feeling conspicuous in order to get the 15 minutes of free wifi your battery allows you.0 -

It isn't in all libraries, it depends on size. Where I work it is in most, except the smallest and mobile libraries. Access is free for the whole period of opening (though we would expect you to be packed up and ready to go home at closing time). Battery life can be an issue, but larger libraries have charger points. That's the case for the place I work anyway. I know many a small business person who knows which is the nearest library with free wifi, and crucially, an accessible charging point who go sit in there most of the day. Many libraries will even allow you to bring your own food and drink in providing its not messy/greasy/smelly/alcoholic (eg sandwiches mostly ok, fish and chips not). Check with the facilities where you are moving to. Hopefully you'll be pleasantly surprised. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Pastures, speaking of libraries and Internet, there's something that may interest you.
Some of the independent drivers have been saying about Google changing the criteria for their ad to those that are paying them, for display on Google. It's benefitted the likes of us, who pay to advertise on there (were 2nd under one of the most used searches for the local airport) however I didn't know if this has affected you at all.
I'd be interested to hear.

Elder son wants/ needs to stay at uni over the Summer - he has to hand in dissertation in September. All fine except the tenancy on the student house he currently shares ends next week. Now there must be thousands of students who have signed new tenancies starting next week who don't all want to live in their accommodation until September, who would happily sub let their room for 2 months, how do you find them?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. A few years ago skype brought out mobile phones. We bought two, and neithe has ever worked. They weren't cheap either. They would have changed a lot had they worked ( obviously they rely on wifi access). Or rather, they rely on you having another phone as they don't work.0

What about the actual uni accommodation? I know some is available for Summer lets, but they must want to let the rest out, given only postgrads are on campus.
This thread suggests that standard off-campus lets are now charging for the summer:

Can he speak to the uni's accommodation office and see what they suggest? Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? The only thing I can think of is friends of friends/ word if mouth, never heard of a place where they are advertised. Look on departmental noticeboards or at the students union? A website like spareroom.co.UK?
Edit: Viva's suggestion sounds good to me0
