Well for a start you might as well buy a lottery ticket with that £1 as you're going to turn it into £1 million in any other way. You either make a lot of money through blind luck, or clever ideas. So try for blind luck first with the lottery ticket. If that doesn't work I would employ this solution (which someone I trained with genuinely said was his plan to get rich):
"work out what the next big thing is, then set up a company to do it and pay clever managers to run it for you".
There you go, job done!!!!0 -

Besides. I see dozens pf posts on the relationships board aaying ditch him. There is one atm , not about a relationship, but about a family sotuation and i havenot posted but think...hmm, i can see why you are treated like that in your eyes.
It would involve a plan. I would help with people bits if you went for it, i would help you.
The one I posted on was about some bf who'd lost his job, not paid the rent, they'd been evicted, he was up to bis b4lls in debt.... and she had no idea about any of these tiny details..... as he'd covered up everything. I'll see if I can find it.0 -

Op did not reply did she? Just some angry guy in the same boat as the bf? You even got thanked.
You were, imo, right. Blunt, but right.0 -

Too right. Probably the boyfriend attempting not to get dumped!
The answer to most of the relationship board problems is "wake up and smell the coffee, you'd be far better off without your Jeremy Kyle material OH".0 -

Dear chew, do you put your kaftan on to read the relationship board?0 -
So, the nice new vet, who is excellent, we chatted horse science this afternoon very happily, he thinks there is something that would help special girl and indeed bring her back into work. I am really excited, as is dh. We have to do some x rays etc, in a couple of weeks, but it seems worth going for. Particularly if it means she can work when old girl goes.....special girl is going to need help with that, they are very close and something to do i think will help her.
Even better, the vet was really complimentary about my work, and old and special girl. We chatted a lot about why i do things like i do, which is usually fodder for derision from vets, particularly racing vets, but he was enthusiastic and encouraging and supportive. We talked a bit about racing and i said something i woukd have loved to do and he loved the idea and said if he can get access to do it, would i be i terested in advising. I feel professionally valued today.0 -

PN, as someone who has been in a similar situation I would have given exactly the same advice.
Edit: and you certainly weren't the only person who said to run!0
