If it is locked to Mr T then you need a Mr T SIM card. They are cheap, probably £1 and their tariff is very reasonable and often have deals. As far as coverage goes, they use the O2 netwrok, so if you have O2 coverage in your area they will work fine.Sounds like you need a package that includes data as well as calls and texts if you want to surf and upload. Check online but I think T do a contract requiring only 30 days notice, so no tie-in.I don't know about the phone, think its one of those phones that the independent minded go for, who haven't been sucked in by the marketing of Blackberry or iphone. As I'm a sucker I can't comment.
I'm sure T will post you a SIM card, but if they won't I am near a T mobile shop so could send one onto you to save you a 40 mile round trip!0 -
Just flogged a couple of small items I own ... that's two less things to move. Nothing else I've advertised has had a sniff though.... but two up is a start!0

Questions:
1] Is that a good price?
2] Could I use a SIM card I already have (that's not a Mr T)?
I want a phone to: make/receive calls/texts, surf t'Internet .... and some apps like GPS, barcode scanning to check for bargains, easily take good photos and get them online quickly.
I have a second hand wildfire. It was locked to T-mobile when I got it, but I paid for an unlock code for it and now have it on Orange. It's fine for calls, a bit slow for texts, not bad for photos, for a phone(although nowhere near as good as a camera, especially indoors). It's very useful for maps & GPS, and I find myself using the torch app quite a lot too. The big downside IMO is that it's unusably slow for internet unless somewhere where it can hook up to wifi. I don't know if that applies to wildfires in general, though, or just mine.
Before I had this one I had an iphone 3 (also second hand). It was much faster and generally nicer to use, but no use for me because of my little issue with putting it on silent. (That is, I frequently need to have it on silent for work, and am not good at remembering to put it back to normal afterwards. This is a problem because my solution to my losing-my-keys problem was to attach the keys to the phone. Now when I lose my keys I can ring up the mobile from my landline and find them by sound, which obviously doesn't work if I have stupidly left the phone on silent.) If the iphone had a decent soft silence - ie with an app rather than a hard switch - I would go back to the iphone.
PS 21 items donebut haven't touched some of the big ones.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

A quick google and it seems there is a HTC wildfire and a newer HTC wildfire S. Which have you been offered?
For decent internet and loading photos etc you need 3G or to be on wifi. So 3G is what to look out for. That said I've found wifi in starbucks, Tesco, motorway service stations etc so the important thing is whether you will have wifi in every temporary home, if not you need 3g on your phone.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I tried looking online for our resident pro shopper but couldn't see it in today's online edition of The Mail.
