I'm sure it means absolutely nothing...except that like all big organisations they can't manage to organise anything to a time-scale.
A lot of my work is the result of large organisations taking forever to recruit peopleAnyway, moving the conversation on...
I was awaiting an email about a job interview today. I'm not really looking properly (things to finish and all that), but I saw a good sounding job a while ago. Process has been moving very slowly, but was supposed to be going for an interview next week, poss on Monday (invited a few weeks ago). Was supposed to have day and time confirmed by the end of today and have heard nothing. This is a BIG company. rubbish!I think....0 -

Oh yes, I'm pretty sure that is what the case is so far. Job was first advertised May 2011, I applied earlier this year, phone int week I moved up here, then another 2 months to hear anything and now this. I did a email to chase int time, and in the following conversation I asked if into were likely to happen next week seeing as I'd not heard anything. That was when I was told I'd hear back Fri.
I'm pretty sure I won't get it as I am not Dr nikkster, but then any again I didn't think I'd get through a phone int so I'll let them make that decision!0 -

And likewise when it takes big organisations forever to give the most basic of answers in writing [cough]Natwest[/cough] when some serious allegations are put to them.
You will get there in the end

is chewie around? I'm trying to decide what shoes to buy for the gym? just training shoes or proper running shoes?
I find basic asics (I.e. the £50 ones not the £100+ ones) work really well for me - I need a reasonable arch and they have them and seem to fit really well. I think shoes only really matter if you're going to do a lot of running though, if you're going to use the treadmill a lot be fussy and be prepared to have to ditch the first pair and buy another in a couple of months when you realise what you thought were perfect were not. If you're just going to use cross trainer and bike then the worst you will get is a couple of blisters on your heels from wearing ill fitting shoes. If you run 50k a week with the wrong trainers on you'll get a knee injury. If you're going to be mostly running go to a running shop and seek advice.0 -
I have just put the groom to bed, not as bad as the last wedding when I was a groomsman and we watched the sun come up on a lovely Sydney morning, but close!0

Cabs of all sorts are for posh people. I've probably been in less than 6 in my entire life. It's cheaper to not drink and drive myself home. Only ever once used one to get to a station as I was staying away for 2 nights and couldn't park at/near the station, so seemed best (only 2 miles from the station too, so it was about £10 or so)
Sorry to drag up an old post.

So, that works out, for 2 miles at:
Rate 1: £5
Rate 2: £7.70
Rate 3: £10.20
Rate 4: £12.60
So my £10 for 2 miles could have easily been one of those.... I think I was going pre-6am, alone,
After one night out, there were 4 of us in a taxi, going to 3 addresses, 5 miles in total, £20.
In the hairdressers about 2 years ago the woman told me she was going to a hen night that evening, her daughter's/friend's.... and a minibus was £100 to bring them into town. That was staggering!0 -

Still expensive. If you're nice and booked before 11, I may drop it to rate 1, but not very often.💙💛 💔0
