    2. The information supplied by this website it totally erroneous. Parking ‘tickets’ issued on private land such as Supermarket Car Parks, ARE LEGALLY UNENFORCEABLE and can be ignored. In fact One private parking company associated with Disabled Motoring Uk, Vehicle Control Services, has just lost a landmark case where it was ruled they had no implied ability to pusue anyone for damages (ie the ‘ticket’ they issued), and in a separate case another tribunal has ruled they have no lawful authority to issue ‘tickets’ (note private Parking tickets are not ‘ticket’, they are unsolicited speculative unenforceable invoices)
    3. Disabled Motoring UK needs to hang its head in shame for getting into bed with these thieving shisters, and letting all disabled people in the country down by siding with these scammers

They are legally enforceable and it is you misleading disabled people by saying they are not. Some cases are won some are lost but you are wrong to say they can be “ignored”. When the law changes in October then there will be a requirement for the keeper to give the drivers details (subject to an appeals service being introduced) so then there will be even more reason for people not to ignore PCNs. As for working with parking operators this is how we are able to so successfully win appeals on behalf of our members and influence the operators on how to improve their services for disabled poeple. Some parking operators continue to provide free parking for Blue Badge holders, others give extra time. Like all businesses there are some bad apples but not all are “scammers” as you seem to think. Nobody likes to get a PCN but if everyone parked wherever they liked parking would become chaotic.
could ask dmukadmin what law makes them legally enforceable?

oh, & why they have an advert from 'parking eye'

Try as I may, I can't make myself believe that a disabled persons' charity hasn't read The Equality Act 2010.

We have just posted two articles on our website that will help you get to grips with parking law and the using the Blue Badge. The articles are written by one of our magazine experts, Kelvin Reynolds, who is the Director of Operations and Technical Services at the British Parking Association (BPA). We hope these articles help clarify parking regulations for you… it can be very confusing.

It would appear not, anyone have any figures that these people have taken in "payments" from private parking, may help us understand why they offer advice that is clearly supporting their own positions.

In my comment (awaiting "moderation") I have mentioned the recent Parking Eye court case where they were only awarded £15 instead of the hundreds of pounds they were claiming.

dmukadmin is mistakenly assuming that the Freedoms Bill will give PPCs extra powers to ask for money from motorists. Of course it does no such thing.

    That article is incredible ?
It is clearly attempting to confuse disabled motorists that the BPA are part of an official authority and part of the council parking operations.
Just how in bed with these people are this "charity"

ISTR an article, questioning the advice given by one of their people at a parking trade fair, in, of all places, "Parking Review".

    from their annual report;

The continuing fall in the numbers of members was identified as the prime risk to the charity.

We are working with councils, local organisations for disabled people and the British Parking Association (BPA) to ensure that all disabled people are still able to access car parks

Regular contact was maintained with the Department for Transport and the British Parking Association.

The campaign to recruit corporate members of DMUK has continued, targeting Parking and other motoringrelated organisations. To date 21 Corporate members have been signed up bringing in additional income equivalent to over 300 single members.

It will intensify its efforts to increase its membership among younger disabled motorists with a series of ‘Get Going’ events and seek to increase further its growing number of corporate members.

DMUK will conduct a wider Baywatch survey to encompass more supermarkets and campaign hard to get them to bring about stronger enforcement of disabled-only parking.
The charity will work hard with The British Parking Association in bringing to the Government’s attention problems caused by pavement parking and will monitor closely any proposed changes to mobility scooter legislation. It will work with Motability to try to ensure that any policy reforms it proposes do not disadvantage its members.
