    OMG !
It is a honey trap !
disabled drivers call these people up for advice about PPC charges and they are speaking to the wolf itself ?
How on earth can something like this get away with been a charity ?

It's been said before, when DMUK were called Mobilise:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2632653

And I thought they had dumped Hasbeen after this debacle.

Can't believe their stated aims are this:

''We are working with councils, local organisations for disabled people and the British Parking Association (BPA) to ensure that all disabled people are still able to access car parks.''

And yet they do not understand what ALL disabled people means??!

I just tried to post the following, let's see if they publish any of our comments:

    ''Your comment is awaiting moderation.''

''DMUK admin, you are deluded by these firms!

    They cannot enforce ‘PCNs’.

They cannot issue fines or penalties.

They cannot take a driver or keeper to Court unless they own the land or have specific assigned rights to the land.

The Freedom Act will make no difference – fake PCNs issued privately are ALWAYS a scam.

You people at DMUK really should hang your heads in shame for reporting the drivel from ‘Will Bee parking consultant’ saying that only people with mobility issues need to use a disabled bay. Such a statement clearly breaches the Equality Act.

Tell us why someone with IBS, cancer, a mental disability, sight impairment or ME (to name just a few protected disabilities which are not mobility issues) do NOT need to use a reasonable adjustment of a bay near the store?

They may be a passenger in a car and OF COURSE they can legally use a disabled bay. To state otherwise to your readers is astonishing!

And as for your fatally-flawed ‘BayWatch campaign’ telling people to look out for Blue Badges in bays where Blue Badges don’t even apply – who on earth dreamt of that ridiculous campaign?

Do you not understand the Equality Act 2010?''

They HAVE to care about disabled motorists if they set themselves up as 'the' disabled motorists' charity! :rotfl:

And they are stark raving mad if they really believe that a 'reasonable adjustment' of bays near the store are only for people with mobility issues. It's astonishingly naive to say the least, you could not make it up when there's clear equality legislation for all disabled people who need such an adjustment.

Whoever could imagine that a disabled motoring charity would encourage 'certain' disabled people to think that 'other' disabled people aren't covered by the Equality Act in a private car park. It's just like Animal Farm, only DMUK are actually coming across as spouting the assertion that 'some people are more deserving disabled than others'!

    It beggars belief!

If comenting it might be better to use reasoned argument, isntead of the words scam, or any other overly in your face criticism, it looks like the moderator is currently off shift, but there is a contact address for them here:

It wouldnt look good if the press got hold of the fact that a charity set up to protect the rights of disabled motorists was doing exactly the oposite when it comes to private parking charges.
    From the Plain Language Commission:

"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"
