In a reply to my email to the owners regarding the parking arrangements their asset management (Jones Lang LaSalle) have sent me a copy of signage they say is displayed at the car park and which I am positive is not the one there on my recent visits - if anyone is in the area can they please photo the one that is there before they can change it as I am positive the one I read, more than once, does not have charges on it and has the words 'may' be liable for a parking charge or 'may' incur a parking charge. Thanks.0

I went back to the site today to take pictures and all the signage has been changed and there were lots of victims coming and parking there. I noticed a man loitering and he was the 'ticketer'. I questioned him about the signs and he said he has only been working there a couple of days and doesn't know when they were changed to the new ones. As I had read the old one closely on 13th October and 15th October (with other users of the car park) I know this is not the sign that was there when my ticket was issued. I asked what proof there was that people were eligible for a ticket and he said he watched people and judged when they should be ticketed.
I am not sure how to attach the picture of the new sign.
Any suggestions as to where I stand please.0 -

Someone can correct me - but didn't the judge in the VCS (??) case say that if an official of the company is available (in this case the tickerer) they have to limit the loss by *telling* the customer what the penalty... em... fine.. invoice will be for?0 -
The comment was from the ticketer today that I questioned about it, there was no one around when my ticket was issued, I know because I went looking.
What did annoy me was that I saw him today loitering some way away watching people park, and ready to pounce - why didn't he stand by the car park and just warn people of the change of rules and signage?
PS: I did for a while!0 -

A similar thing happens where I live. There are 3 small business premises with limited parking(though they are hot food outlets and are only open limited hours) and the 'ticketer' hides in his car or in one of the shops and when someone parks up but goes to the LTSB right next door(with own, albeit small, car park) he comes out and slaps a ticket on their driver door windscreen. How he knows they are not going to visit the aforementioned shops(one of them is a dry cleaning outlets open 9-5 same as the bank almost) after coming out from the bank I have not a clue!( I've watched him whist waiting in an Aldi car park...monitored by Parking Spy.) The PPC is Nationwide Parking Enforcement.Got a ticket from ParkingEye? Seek advice by clicking here: Private Parking forum on MoneySavingExpert.:j0 -

That very point was raised by the judge when VCS got a hammering in a recent court case. She asked why the PPC goon sat in his van and watched somebody walk off site instead of warning them. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
