    047 is /

are you talking about a physical thai kb, or you have keyboard settings set to thai in control panel, regional options?

do you have a usb flash key, or floppy disk to transfer the file to a connected PC?

do you still get a 169 address after a release and renew?

It is physically connected to the router, with lan light on? which router?

start, settings, control panel, network connections, your lan connection, tcpip, properties, obtain an ip address automatically, advanced ... what does it say?

    the netmask should be 255.255.255.0

    after advanced it says
    ip address subnet mask
    dhcp enabled

    there is no 255.255.255.0

tried changing it to 255.255.255.0 but no luck

OK, are you sure that the wiring is ok, and there is a light on the router for the wire connection?

The router is set for dhcp presumably?

compare the ipconfig /all with the other wired PC that works, and note the differences.

in the advanced section, try adding the gateway address

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Can you make the non-working computer automatically obtain an IP address and DNS server. You can do this by going into the network properties of the device (right click to get into properties), then highlight TCP/IP click properties and select everything as automatic.
