if those settings are still there after the reboot try typing ping 192.168.0.1 in a dos prompt (cmd from the run box) - post results0

in the network connections page does the connection icon show with a red cross on it? on the non working computer that is0 -
should i delete the connection ? will the comp find it again upon rebooting
there is no little comp in system tray0 -
if you go to network connections in the control panel though does it show the computer icon with a red cross on it?0

do you have a firewall? If so try disabling it and then see if you can ping/connect to the internet0
