Valli's VERY AMBITIOUS plan for today

    • sort out drawers in dining room thus freeing one drawer for tablecloths and napkins (currently in bedding chest - far more sensible to store in room they are used in anyway) CS 'carp'
    • be ruthless about rest of bedding chest contents - CS what can go
    • remove bedding chest - check with mum but think no-one will want it (it's 'utility' ie post war cheap) and *fling*
    • dust chest of drawer, hoover space and fill with organised bedding
    • list on ebay in between - photograph ALL stuff I have to sell and list/relist
    • clean bedroom anyway; change bedding
    • post ebay sale - buy sawdust while down there (ie shops)
    • clean out gerbils; clean LR
    • make list of millions of jobs which need doing AKA Toots list
    Progress so far

gerbil cage cleaned - have also cleaned cat litter tray
bedding chest outside (DS did this on his own)
    CoD upstairs
e bay sale posted; sawdust bought
    WM1 on line; WM2 in
    DW :D:D:D on
Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY

I have nine days off, and no real plans for going anywhere. Seriously thinking of splitting the house into nine areas and having a real deep clean and de-clutter - in a head to head half term challenge style like TNG and Penelope Penguin did years ago (I do miss PP). Does anyone else want to play?

I will - and I miss pp, too! Similar plans here, although DH wants to have a day out somewhere. I'll try and resist it being Tuesday, 'cos everywhere will be packed and the forecast is rubbish.

Struggled through the week feeling carp and still don't have much of a voice. I didn't do anything last night apart from taking DS2 swimming, doing tea, baking Hermann and picking DS1 up from near his new GF's.

    Achieved so far:
    WM1 on line, WM2 on
DW loaded and on (now needs emptying)
    fed everyone
HHC in kitchen, doing daily stuff
    some flinging
cleared staircase and tiny landing at top
DH took DS2 to toyshop (20% off this weekend) and he spent some birthday money on new skylanders stuff.

My list is still a mile long, but I'm plodding on slowly. Feeling a lot less energetic than I'd hoped, so 15min at a time to start with.
    I still need to:
to a shopping list and maybe go shopping
    change bedding x2
    [STRIKE]hoover stairs[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]sweep/weed outside front door[/STRIKE]
    make a start on LR

I found a link to this http://teuxdeux.com/list , courtesy of memory girl's blog, and I'm trying it out this week.

Happy Saturday, everyone. I'll try to catch up on fred tonight, as I won't be going out - DS1 is at a party. Not unhappy, considering I'm still not recovered.

CoD now filled - wasn't quite sure what to do with the spare pillows, but a cunning plan has sprung to mind...trouble is the job's expanding rather than contracting.

OK, that was a bit more than 15min, but:

DW emptied and stray dishes loaded
cat's dishes cleaned, mat/area wiped and cat fed
kitchen bin wiped and new liner in
bin liner in plastic bin outside and plastic rubbish binned
outside front door/pavement weeded and swept
planter ready for plants (just needs a wipe around outside) - want to go shopping now to buy some :j

Coffee break now with one of the yummy buns DH baked yesterday, then I'll see what's next. :T

ETA Managed to put DS1's bedding in TD, bring laundry in (starting to drizzle), start WM again and feed DS2 before sitting down.

Only laundry done today as I've spent most of the day with neighbours trying to get cover sorted out for our street party tomorrow - 140 of us in heavy rain:eek:

Need to pop to the shops now to collect the glasses and buy some mini marshmellows.

Hex - I'll miss those challenges too but won't be free to play until Wednesday, I'm doing a child's room a day, Wed, Thus, Fri (they just don't know it yet)!
