I have the Bosch, very light, good easy to use Grass Box and pretty reasonable at picking up the cuttings if you empty the box :rotfl:My Mind wanders, if found please return.0

There is a Flymo for £50 on the focus website -
http://www.focusdiy.co.uk/invt/210397 no personal experience
I saw a Bosch lawnmower instore Focus a few weeks back for £50 but again no experience it looked a bit like the Qualcast here - http://www.focusdiy.co.uk/invt/210397 .
The only mower I have had good experiences with is a Bosch Rotak but they are more than £50 especially mine as it is the largest version.0 -
Hi,
I'm a bit of a beginner when it comes to gardening.
I need to buy a lawnmower but haven't a foggiest on what lawnmower to go for.
My gardens an average size, fairly flat and I'd like it to collect the grass cuttings.
Any hints & tips much appreciated!

Hi Cathy,
I got one of these a few months back but they are cheaper then, only used it twice but it does the job for me, I only have a small lawn slightly slopped but it would work fine on a small/medium law, and has a grass box

With lawn mowers you really do get what you pay for, be it electric or petrol. Electric are generally cheaper and lighter but have a bloomin long wire to pull around, petrol are heavier and pricier but will do a better job.
Once you've cut with a nice petrol mower you'll wonder why you ever bothered with electric.
Search EBAY for QUALCAST SUFFOLK PUNCH MOWER PETROL 35DL or look in your local classifieds, it will be second hand, probably reconditioned, it is not too heavy, very reliable, collects the grass, stripes the lawn with a roller at the back and if you don't like it you'll never loose any money on it. It's the VW Beetle of the mower world, goes on and on and always in demand.
If you're worried about weight, my mother uses one, she's in her 60's.0
