buying lawnmower, some advise please

I have a flymo 330, bought last year approx £85, medium size lawn. Pros are the easy wind-up flex thing for storing the cable, and it cuts long grass quite well. Cons are poor grass collecting (the suction hole is outside the mower at the back so the clippings tend to get blown about before some get sucked up into the collection box) and it doesn't really hover well, so its quite heavy (and back lawn is on a slope).
I'm looking to donate my flymo and get a mower that collects grass better. Any ideas?0 -
For Which? reports try your local library. I think most libraries keep copies for several years.0

The cheapest best buy on which was priced at £120 (poss pick up for a little less) - Bosch Rotak 34, so a long way above your £50 unless you can pick up a second hand one...

You could try this one but I hate plastic blades myself...

Argos is doing 1/3 off all lawnmowers at the moment, you should find something to suit you.0

            Hello,
I currently have a Flymo compact 350 which is rubbish, the problem with it is it only collects half the grass cuttings, thest get blown EVERYWHERE!
I have a small lhaso apso so all the cuttings stick to him like velcro, we try our best to clean them off him before he comes in but still have to vacume the house loads of times a day.
So i want advice on which lawnmower to get for a small/medium sized lawn that is good at collecting the grass cuttings, doesn't matter if its electric or petrol, think i would prefer electric for storage point of view
I've seen on another thread someone recomends the Bosch ROTAK 34 C ROTARY LAWNMOWER through the which guide, would this be the one?
Def no flymo's! Hate them, they come with a free built in blower!

I bought a challenge manual push lawnmower last year as I only have a small amount of grass and it does the job lovely. I bought it from whatsgoingcheap.com for about 15 quid, the same ones are in argos I think for about 30 quid. Doesnt cost me a thing in petrol and is very quiet and easy to get out and put away again.
