Better Days; this would be me as I read your post (for which I thank you);
Yes, yes,
mm, right, agree,
great advice, thankyouthankyou,
useful, marvellous, OK right.....
labradors-chocolate biscuit.....
*sob - snivel - pounds fist on dining table* - it's not fair!
Seriously though, yes, you are right and I am slowly getting to grips with how I should handle matters going forward (!!! hate that expression). Problem is getting my own emotional side in check (in an inward sense) - and worrying about their emotional behaviour towards me (with the best will in the world, letters will not go down well; in fact I cannot see a way to communicate now....). I also feel sad that I do not have any neighbours to speak of and when family is in short supply, friends been and gone, then a little neighbourliness could be quite wonderful.
(Again - this was one of my doggie thoughts..)
I have to be practical and efficient, so your words make great sense to me. Thank you.0 -
GotToChange - just to add - you have been given a lot of advice, only you can decide which will suit you and your circumstances best. Simply the act of making a decision and acting on it moves you towards having more faith in yourself and achieving your goals.
If you want to do some reading around personal development then you may like to explore Susan Jeffers (likely available from your local library): Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway http://www.amazon.co.uk/Feel-The-Fear-And-Anyway/dp/0091907071/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1338311561&sr=8-1 and End the Struggle and Dance With Life http://www.amazon.co.uk/Struggle-Dance-Life-Susan-Jeffers/dp/0340897600/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1338311625&sr=8-1. This is a quote from the latter:As we turn off the sound and move into silence, the dancing can begin. We finally hear the music of our soul, and it is this that gives us peace. As we listen to the music of our soul, we mysteriously and wondrously hear the music of everyone elses as well...and we are at one with the world.It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.
