There is no need for a !!!!! to have 'just one' litter at all, or any long term benefit to it.
Agreed, in fact not only are there no health benefits from a !!!!! having a litter there can be health risks.0 -

Aww she looks beautiful. I was going to guess six myself but there have been a few shouts for that already so going to plump with seven!
Do we get to name one of them if one of us guesses right?
How is she now? Any signs of labour yet?0 -
Lord , I'm not going to join the argument to be honest as get a bit upset about animal arguments.
However , there are puppies on the way.
Any news yet??......how many ? ........I say 9 pups.
And poor girl in this weather !............hang on ,no....I'm saying 8 !!Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -
Some people are perfectly happy with a rescue dog that they know nothing about, others do not wish to take that risk, and will instead buy a puppy so that they are responsible in ensuring that it doesn't grow to be a vicious snarling beast. Unfortunately the rescue brigade don't care about any of that - they just want to force their views onto everyone else.
Good luck, OP. I hope everything goes well with your beautiful dog and her puppies!0 -
Dylano ! Christ I am in ageement withyou for once !
Not about snarling rescuers bit to be honest as a lot of very good work is done.
But I agree about choice, and wishing OP's dog the best wishes.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -
I wasn't going to come back on here because you get critised if you reply to people and critised if you don't. Now I'm getting questioned about the health of my dog! Yes she has had the nessarary health test, yes she a great example of the breed, and her co effecient % is lower than the breed average, the stud is also lower than average and this makes the pups score even lower. Would you like to know anything else? I'll get back to you if my puppies don't sell and then you are more than welcome to have a go.
For all you people that came on her for the same reason as me, to have a nice friendly chat WE HAVE 6 PUPS so far, still some to go though. She's doing great, the 1st one came at 237 this morning.0 -
ooh 6 so far and more to go .. fantastic .. As I am already wrong with my guess of 6 I shall change my guess to 9 ..
don't forget we want pics, and their sexes and weights and more picsA heap big thank you to everyone who posts the comps, your all stars!
Proud to of never used or felt the need to use a chain of any sorts on a puppy0 -
I'll go for 8 in total

Oh WOW! Congratulations Beckin! You must be shattered
I hoe she's being a good girl and getting stuck in straight away (unlike my daft girl who didn't seem to understand what was going on!!)
Just remember I said NINE.
I think you sound like a great example of a good breeder. Please post some pictures of the Pups when you've finally had some rest??0 -
A busy time for you with constant feeding of the mum.
