and we will never, ever return.0 -
Ignore wml, I agree with a lot of her posts but I think she's had a few sherries tonight ...
LM, you are a super special and multifaceted person, and you and your beautiful family will cope with whatever life throws at you ... and if at times they throw a bit too much, you'll have me there with my baseball bat to deflect the bad stuff away0 -

Hey McKneff.
Bump is okay. Still not as big as some 12 week bellies I've seen but trying not to compare my bump to other people's!mynameistallulah wrote: »Ignore wml, I agree with a lot of her posts but I think she's had a few sherries tonight ...

Thanks.
That made me smile. Smiles always welcome (and much needed at the moment!)Torry_Quine wrote: »That is so far beyond blunt it's off the scale. That is offensive. Just because someone is disabled doens't mean they can't be as good a parent as anyone else.
Lady M take no notice of someone so uncaring and thoughtless.
Thanks Torry.
It did upset me but I'm very hormonal at the moment!2019 Wins

For you as a woman, its simply your right - your affirmation of your identity as a woman - hold your head high and be proud, have the strength, energy and determination to do your parenting with pride and the understanding that your man loves you as you are, nothing added or taken away - just you as you are.

EDITED AS ORIGINAL COMMENT BY ANOTHER POSTER REMOVED.
LM you will manage perfectly fine. My youngest was carried in a sling by hubby. As he got older he would sit on my knee on the wheelchair I had sometimes. He loved every minute of it and has not come to any harm at all.“How people treat you becomes their karma; how you react becomes yours.”0 -
Oh....so perhaps the Gov should rule that disable people should be sterilised - would that suit you? Better still how about the Government ban sex completely for those who are disabled? Would that be better?
In the great scheme of things if you are worried about your taxes, a whole 0.000009p will probably go to LM if that and maybe nothing at all since your taxes are not set aside just for benefits!

Of course you will
Besides they are off to school in the flash of an eye! Dont bother about other comments, there are always going to be those who think anyone on benefits should have their human rights taken away, be fed gruel and broth and not have access to a TV“How people treat you becomes their karma; how you react becomes yours.”0 -
Nearly 16 years ago WML's opinion about abortion and disabled mothers was correct, when I went to the GP to get my pregnancy confirmed he TOLD me he would sort my abortion out and it could be done withing the week so it wouldnt be to distressing for me and when I told him where to go I was refused all anti natal care by the surgery, the only GP which supported me was a semi retired GP who only did 8 hours per week. The other 8 doctors refused to support me.
My consultants also discharged me for haveing the nerve to disagree with them, one even asked how I got pregnant! Surely a doctor should know about the bird and the bees!
I had a very difficult pregnancy and I had to trail to the hospital for even the smallest thing, I never saw the same midwife/OBY twice and when my son was diagnosed with a condition where he would need surgery soon after birth (a condition he didnt have btw) I was pressured to have a late abortion where I he would be killed and I would have a c sec to remove his body as I couldnt give birth naturally do to the damage to my pelvis.
I was booked in for my c sec for my sons birth before I met the midwife that would look after me, it was all so very diffrent than my when I was pregnant with my daughter.
I was admitted for my c sec and I discovered the ward hadnt been able to get the aids they promised so my husband had to go home and get mine, the ward then tried to steal them from me!
My time in hospital wasnt to bad though until shortly before my OP I was told I had to have a general because I have no discs in my spine for a epidural, luckily I had a very good anaestist (sp) and he found a disc between my shoulder blades so I was awake when my son was born. His birth was just as amazing, fantastic and a wonder on nature just like my daughters but by god was it hard work getting their!
Things have changed today thank God and LM will be treated as well as other expectant mothers while this much wanted and love bubs in safe in her womb, I hope where you are LM you have specially trained midwives to help disabled mothers, I didnt know theey existed until my daughter was pregnant nearly 4 years ago now. They are trained to help and support disabled couples so that they get help at every stage of pregnancy and they help with everything and not just bubs but in accessing the help parents need with finding the resorces to make sure they can cope (as much as any first time parents can cope)
Enjoy your pregnancy LM, its one of the mavels or nature.
Your tiny so dont worry that your bump is small, my daughter is size 6-8 and at 12 weeks she was trying to puff her belly out to "show" she was pregnant, once your pelvis is full you will show more than bigger woman because of your size and you will want to be tiny again!
Congratulations!!0 -
LM ignore any nasty comments..parenting is bloody hard with or without disabilities and its just a matter of doing the best you can..in your case being realistic about what you can and cant manage and being able to ask for help will be important i would imagine
also just to suggest if carrying baby around at home might be a problem(sorry if im wrong) a pram such as the one below(from ebay to be MSE) might be helpful to use as they are pretty light
