Just to reiterate everyone else - red is a fantastic and individual colour for brides! It will make you stand out and make your wedding memorable.
The most important thing that your dress will do for you on the day is give you confidence. If it does that (and it sounds like it should!) then stick with it.In a Den first, Theo Paphitis has been getting business information from a talking tree.0 -
Go for it girl, I had a beautiful red dress at our Christmas wedding and I loved it. It got such a great reaction from everyone. I think they all expected pillarbox red but it was a beautiful deep rich red. I made my own tiara and bouquet and buttonholes for hubby and his BM. I bought 3 big deep red velvet roses and surrounded them with green foliage with rosemary & lavender for scent. I still have the roses which are brought out in the winter and set on the cast Iron fireplace. The stupid things you do, you regret... if you have any sense, and if you don't regret them, maybe you're stupid. - Katharine Hepburn0

hi
i was going to suggest having some white/ivory stuff going on to bring a bit more white into the picture, but you mentioned you were having cream flowers? After all white and red are common colours for a wedding, you are just reversing the usual way of it! maybe you could have your BM's in white dresses with red sashes round thier waists? and get the men to wear red ties/waistcoats/buttonholes. ok i'm getting a bit carried away here...
anyway I think it will be lovely, a relative of mine got married in scarlet (she has ginger hair and STILL pulled it off!) let us know how you get on at the shop.
(oh, and my OH thinks oriental women are sexy but there's sadly nothing i can do to make myself oriental-looking on our wedding day!!!! :rotfl: )why be a song, when you can be a symphony?0 -
