thank you all, i feel about a million times better.
Nenen and Mom23 you're right, this must happen a lot so i'll go back tomorrow. the lady who helped me was lovely and i'm sure she'll understand, my only concern is that it was in the sale so maybe the same rules about changing won't apply. but i'll see what they say and thanks for suggesting i try and find a stockist with the ivory pookienoodle, that's a very good idea!
my main worry is h2b as he loves his white on women - thinks it's really sexy! i've spoken to him about my concerns generally i.e. it's prob not what you'll expect etc but not sure i want to tell him it's not white/ivory as i kind of want it to be a suprise - mum and the other women in the shop said the unusual-ness made it all the more striking and if i do go for the red, i'll want him to have the same feeling!
vickyj - it's good to know about the photos!0 -

Rachie B it's just like that!! But the beading around the bust is more intricate and a different shape. I'm not going to have a veil and was planning on having a tiara (bought a stunning one off ebay for 55p!) but now i think it might be too much. Flowers are going to be cream with lots of foliage and some red berries, simple hair (half up, half down, wavey - h2b loves it like that) and was going to wear a simple diamond bracelet h2b bought me for our first vals day and some plain diamond studs. what do you think?0

I had the most stunning red and gold dress for my wedding. Was absolutely beautiful and suited me so well nothing else came even close.
It had a read bodice beaded with red and gold beads and a huge full gold skirt with a train. Was theatrical and OTT but stunning. Marriage has since gone way wrong and heading for divorce but it was nothing to do with the dress which I still love:rotfl:
