Too disabled and too young to move out!

Mine go straight out of the window or behind the sofa. Mind you, mine are real cats.;)
Mine normally run to me, but if I am the one who makes a sudden noise or something they run to the next safe person. My mum normally runs to me asking if I am okay as I never scare my cats. Hence why/how I have "trained them"
So back on topic.
I should be able to get 1 bed accommodation due to DLA care COMPONENT and Mobility, even though I am 23 years old.
What do I do if they refuse this fact? Say I am too young or too disabled like they did yesterday?0 -
Am I missing something here? Your mother and sister are going to have to completely disrupt their lives during your recuperation - so why not make it easier on everyone and stay with them?0

This thread is intriguing. OP I know you want privacy but that is going to come at a price. It's probably better staying put.
I doubt they will refuse you, I think they may have presumed you meant carers allowance and not DLA care component.
See your MP if they do refuse you. I don't believe anything further can be added.“How people treat you becomes their karma; how you react becomes yours.”0 -
If I have understood what "recuperation" means, if I stay at home, my sister takes a couple of weeks off work. My mum can't work due to mental health reasons, having both their lives hugely disrupted every time. Surely it would be easier if one life was "disrupted" as they took it in turns to look after me?
Example, if I am at home, my sister would take time off work to look after me, but my mum would still be there and not get a "real" break. As when my sister goes to work, my mum would be looking after me still.
However if I am in my own place, my mum can look after me for I don't know, lets say mornings, in the afternoon, my sister can look after me, and my mum can go back to hers and have that break.
Well, that was what was discussed when I had my last operation - As my other sister looks after me, when she finishes her shifts and has a couple days off from working in the NHS Ambulance Control room doing everything lol. This thread is intriguing. I shall, I am just seeing what my options are, and when they said I wont get anything more than £60 per week I was like due to you getting care component - my mum was there she knows what I get, and does most if not all the talking, I talk the way I type, and from what I read, people don't fine me easy to understand, of which I am very sorry. Anyway, they also said if I was 35 I could get the higher rates.0 -
Do you have the same mental problems as your mother, you seem a bit out of touch with reality, or is it the medication you are on?Blackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0

No i don't know cats sorry. I'm too disabled to look after myself properly never mind attending to a pet, hence me needing middle care DLA.0

Yes, I have mental problems - I am psychotic all though they think it maybe Asperger's - or another form of high functioning Autism. I am currently being reassessed for Asperger's Syndrome to see, if I don't have it, then I have another form of high functioning autism. Medication does not help the way I am either.
My mum was signed off work due to some other form of mental health by the GP, who won't sign her back onto work due to her having too many bad days and medication not helping much. Also she got electrocuted by some electricians bad work, and has bad nerve damage, and can't pick up heavy items - anything more than 1kg. - Her job is a Site manager for a school, and general repair person. No i don't know cats sorry. Cats are easy to look after, if someone feeds them, you have a companion who can look after themselves - Example I rarely feed my cats (they always have food - don't worry) and they go the bathroom outside, and I have my window open 24/7 due to unable to cool myself down, but you can get a cat flap installed.

TBH you sound very self centred and selfish.
You are only thinking about you,not the poor sods who give up chunks of their lives to look after you. you haven't once said what's in it for them - just that instead of popping downstairs to help they now have to drive whenever you need them.
You'd be better spending money on carers to give them a rest than rent.Debt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0 -

My imaginary ones go next door and watch their incredibly large Plasma screen with surround sound. They're quite taken withe 'The Sound of Music''The More I know about people the Better I like my Dog'

I'm sorry but who is going to attend your menagerie when you're living alone? Dogs need walked several times a day, even our tiny papillons walked for 2 hours over the course of a day. There was bending down to pick up after them, bending to feed them, playing with them involved getting up and down on the floor.
Cats need litter trays changed so more bending, fed a few times a day. They get fed now but how can you manage 5 animals if you're so bad and on your own?
I live alone, my sister gets expenses to look after me on my days off plus treats because she's fab but I know I'll need private carers at some point. You're only disabled for 25% of the year so why not get a job and get some savings behind you?0
