As examples selling currently for £300+
Effectively you are buying airtime for 30-12.5=17.5
What sort of airtime you need? Is it really worth paying £17.50 for?
As simple as that.0 -

They are probably asking that amount, does not mean they are changing hands, what's the point of getting a 4s now when before the year is out the 5 may be available? It's no point getting a one x or s3 as you may like them so much you won't bother changing to an iphone, just hold on a little longer until what you want is available, by then the handsets above will be lower in price and you can decide if the 5 is worth the extra premium or not.
I WILL be getting an iPhone 5. I think we all know enough about Apple to safely say that the 5 will be a good phone.
Anyway, ALL my music is on iTunes and I'll use it in conjunction with my iPad.0 -

I thought it really was very simple.matilda.cs wrote: »What are you on about?
You want to get a free phone on a £30 contract, then sell it very soon for, say, £300 and buy another phone.
By doing this you effectively are buying airtime for about £17. For this sort or money you can get, say, 1200m+3000t+1Gb at talkmobile. Are your really getting a similar airtime with the contract? If so, do you really need that much?
I guess this means that 4s is a good phone too. Do we all know how much better 5 will be than 4s?matilda.cs wrote: »I WILL be getting an iPhone 5. I think we all know enough about Apple to safely say that the 5 will be a good phone....0 -

doesn't mean there isn't better. but then apples slick marketing have people believing all sorts of nonsense0 -
iPhone's are better.
Would you buy Samsung S3 then wait for months to get new updates. This is what have happen to Samsung S2. It seem the Samsung is following the steps of Apple. The Apple release the seri on IPhone 4s and the Samsung have done the S voice (Siri) for S3 only. The update for S2 and all other phones are missing the S Voice.
I think the iPhone 5 will be much better then others and may have one or two killer functions for others to copy.
Also just the few months back HTC was released for £500, already down to around £430 on Amazon. The iPhone at least hold the price.0 -

You can wait for a few months and this will not make much difference except saving you £35 every month.
No point in waiting for iPhone, hence queuing for it over night does make sense.0 -

Again, you ain't making sense?!
The point is... I want an iPhone 5, but I need a phone in the interim.
iPhone contracts are more than the contracts for other phones. I would be paying less monthly for, say, a galaxy 3... Meaning the resale price of the phone + the money I save on monthly subscription, covers the cost of the iPhone 5.
Then, I can go back to PAYG after 2 years.0
