Actually my boyfriend checks my tyres for me at the weekend when I travel down to see him and I keep a foot pump in my boot.

Why do people have to be so negative and condescending on these forums?

I don't drive in a "cavalier" way, I was told it had an MOT. Do you scan every document meticulously??

And actually, smart !!!!!, Right Car have admitted its their fault.

    When I buy a car?well yes.

Step away from the paranoia!!! FC commented about Five's signature and Five explained why he has that.

Pretty clear unless you're looking for personal attacks where there aren;t any!

I suggest YOU step away from something that has naff all to do with you

My mistake, forget the paranoia, it's clearly anger management that's needed. Telling Five to "wind his neck in and apologise" over something that YOU clearly misunderstood, then getting aggressive when people lightheartedly point out our mistake.

Given that your abusive posts to the OP were what started it, I guess you're a giver not a taker?

A car with a valid MOT can still become unroadworthy during the year. All an MOT proves that the car was ok at test time. It could become unroadworthy a month after the test meaning you are driving an unroadworthy car for 11 months.

You only think they are being judgemental as you are the person you feel is being unfairly "judged".

Right Car have admitted not putting on a longer MOT than a few days, you are entirely responsible for driving without an MOT for the best part of six months, nobody else is responsible for you not checking the car was MOT'd, which you only did when you tried to tax it.

This is by simple definition driving a car with a reckless or indeed "cavalier" way.

Nice to see simple statements of fact still warrent abuse from those caught out by their own stupidity and ignorance of very basic concepts.

So if, as you say, your boyfriend checks your tyres at the weekend then you could quite easily have driven on a damaged tyre since leaving your boyfriends house one weekend and driven on it all week.

You don't seem to realise that everything you have said just underpins some posters viewpoint.

It was a very good thing when they introduced vehicle safety checks into the driving tests if you ask me.

Your boyfriend needs to show you how to do basic roadworthiness checks.

And you say you were told it had an MOT! Well it did you were too stupid to check when it ran out, I take it you don't eat out of date food? The same use of dates is used on an MOT, it is valid till it is not valid.

From what you have said on here I firmly believe you feel you have done no wrong, even though you were unable to perform a very basic check.

Sounds fair. I expect the towel fairy to put bath towels in the airing cupboard, I expect the dishwasher fairy to put dishes in the cupboard. My wife expects the car to start, she expects the tyres to be round, and the oil to be changed by the oil fairy. If I'm lucky, if it drops off, she'll pick it up, otherwise I'll get told there was a strange noise on the way home. If it's still got four wheels, I'm winning. - edit - out of date food, if it's not moving, or waving it's little green feelers in the breeze, I'll probably eat it.
