Morning GL
Worked really hard yesterday, was a productive day, still lots to get done though. My ebay auction ended too and it went for a whopping £160!!! Very glad I didn't shove it on gumtree for £50!
Not had much to report on recently, all feels a bit two steps forward one step back at the moment. We had an unexpected vets bill this week, and house costs that have pushed the debt back up a bit again. Disheartening. Worried about Christmas costs and I think I am putting off shopping for presents because I don't want to see it hamper our progress. Should just get it done and take the hit, I'm thinking of blitzing the lot on Amazon!
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.0 -
Hi Ladybird
Sorry things are a bit stressy at the moment. Hope it all improves soon

Thanks Brizzle, feeling bit more cheerful about everything today.
I think when you get so focused on it all it's easy to get disproportionately stressed about bumps in the road (for me anyway!). Even with the various setbacks the overall picture is still a nice downward one so all is ok
What with other bills and costs (mainly work ones) I have only managed to transfer £20 of my ebay £160 as CC overpayment, but better than nothing.
So much on my to do list today, best get going, starting with cancelling my expensive iPhone contract, which I have been waiting to do since our LBM!:rotfl: (ETS: Done! Was going to switch to GiffGaff but my current provider offered me similar for £9.90pm so stayed with them, saves me the hassle of switching and having to port my number, plus I can cancel any time so suits me fine)
Forgot to mention, managed to earn £8 using the Field Agent app last week! Two super easy supermarket jobs- 2 min job to answer a few questions about a promotion, and photograph the product display.
Have a good week everyone!0 -
Glad to hear you are staying postive, I understand how you feal bout only having £20 of your ebay money as an overpayment, but think of it this way, if you didn't have the ebay money, then the money for the vets bills etc, would have added more to your debt, so it's still a success.

Thanks all! Been a crazy busy week here so not had much of a chance to properly sit down and catch up in DFW Diary Land!
Good news is that our tenant has moved in! Don't think we will feel the benefit financially until January, but relief has finally truly set in on that front!
It's a funny month or two, with so many things changing money wise- mortgage dropping, new tenant paying rent, rented house repair bills, Christmas expenses, and so on... I think I might just leave my spreadsheet and signature total until the New Year and then take fresh stock of everything then as it is too complicated to fathom at the moment!
Will just carry on being frugal and hopefully earning in the meantimeMy November overpayment target hinges on getting paid for some work I am owed at the moment, should get it eventually though!

Good to hear the tenant has moved in.
Can't say I blame you on leaving the spreadsheet until the new year, that's always a good time to get a good handle on things.

Gosh, I have been so busy recently have hardly time to come up to breathe! Shattered!!
Looks as though I won't get paid for my recent work until next weekend so while I won't end up meeting my November overpayment target I'll probably double my December one, if I meet all my deadlines.
I must admit, I am really not enjoying the run up to Christmas as it is proving so unavoidably expensive. If it's not gifts and food it's donations for school fayres, nativity costumes, parties... never ending! Feel as though I just want it to be over with so I can sit in January once the dust settles with my spreadsheet and see where we are again! Definitely lost some focus and motivation.
On the other hand though, I am looking forward to spending time with extended family and having a lovely time over the Christmas period. My husband has some time off and we are spending a whole week away touring various family members.
Time is flying so fast, end of November already, how did that happen??0
