    Welcome back again Lady bird!

It is so easy to get comfortable. My current wage is now £700 more a month than it was 18 months ago and really with that in mind we should be debt free now.

But we have got used to spending more. With the loan and bits paid off our disposable income went from £200 a month to £1200! Yet this disappears far too quickly and I am not sure how we coped before my Chang of job!

It is nice to see you back and motivated! We should be debt free this year too- we can both do it!

    Hello!!!

Ooops, didn't realise there were replies, I think I removed e-mail notifications a while back when I lent someone my laptop and didn't want all my financial dirty laundry popping up in an e-mail! Will have to put them back on.

    Full steam ahead here...

We have been awaiting March's payslip with interest. There was a nice annual pay rise to go through and having been overpaying tax last year to repay from a year where they didn't tax enough we were hoping the amount of tax to go down too. Ended up with about £100 less than we calculated so a call to HMRC will be made shortly to find out where we are at on that front.

Did a good weekly Lidl shop on Monday, spent about £100 on food for the week, could really get that down quite a bit further while still eating well so will aim for more like £60-£70 next time. Need to get back into cheap meals mode; we don't need expensive meat every night of the week, for example. Plenty to use up in the freezer too.

It really is too easy to get complacent. Of course, it is nice not to HAVE to scrimp and worry and think about money ALL THE TIME but at the same time, it would be plain stupid of us to slip backwards and stay treading in the same place (like we have been doing recently really) is just too expensive interest wise! I like seeing the interest we pay come down month on month.

Brilliant news in your signature brizzled! That must feel amazing!!!! Congratulations!:j:j:j

Glad to hear things are going so well for you too OrangeFairy!! :T :T

Reasonably nice spring day here so think I'll head out to hand a load of washing out :A

Going to sit down today with our online bank accounts and see how much we can transfer to CCs.

Been making the effort to try and do some online surveys and bits via swagbucks to get back into the habit of earning regular Amazon vouchers- I used to manage one a week and they really do add up!

My usual morning routine involves a coffee in bed playing Candy Crush and checking Facebook- going to try and spend it entering competitions and doing swagbucks stuff instead.

Went a bit wild this morning and entered 193 competitions via My Offers, entered everything they had!

Feeling shattered so plan to have a quiet day at home getting on top of all the housework and sorting through various stuff.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend...

ETS... on a roll today... transferred £1000 onto CC, have meal planned for the week and come up with a very short shopping list as I think we have plenty enough food in the house already to last the week.

193competitions!! Blimey..that's loads!! I never manage more than one or 2. Do the YouGov and PC surveys religiously though.

Good to see you posting :)
