Hi there Ladybird, how are you doing?
Hope the children have settled back into school now. My DS is living in hope that the snow will mean a day off - at least sledging and playing in the snow will be a MSE day - even if I have to use annual leave if I can't make it into work.

Hi ladybird, hope you are safe and well and the snow hasn't affected you too badly.0

Morning!
Ugh, we have been so rubbish recentlyToo many supermarket top ups mainly that have been seriously adding up, not frugal enough with the heating, evenings out with friends, just not really focused enough.
Just sat down to work out a meal plan then it is off to Lidl for a weekly shop later. Strictly no alcohol mid-week this week, some cheap and cheerful winter meals, and enough in the cupboards to avoid all supermarkets like the plague this week!!
The children are happy to be back at school and it has freed up more time for me to do my freelance work- not seeing much benefit from it though as I seem to have lots of bills associated with my business cropping up- website renewal and other annual bits and bobs, so money I am bringing in is going straight to those rather than off the CC. Depressing!
Might try and use cash this week rather than cards, see if that helps!0 -
Hi there ladybird, its based to get back into frugal ways when you slip a little isn't it?
Your meal planning will hopefully prevent those 'pop into supermarket' trips that are lethal - it amazing what you can talk yourself into 'needing' whilst in tesco - I am really trying to avoid the place.
The snow has mucked up my meal planning and frugasl ways - I spent as if we'd be snowed in for weeks - the had the cheek to report a NSD the following day!
Hope you manage to get back on the frugal bike soon and payments come in for your work.0 -
I think this time of year is the hardest to get motivated, but I'm sure you will get there, don't be to hard on yourself. It's great that you are paying the bills as they come in, as at least you not adding to the debt, that's always a good thing.

Thanks everyone
Having a better week I'm pleased to report! Weekly Lidl shop went well and we have been enjoying some tasty frugal meals. Made a lovely veg soup with homemade onion bread yesterday that was very cheap, warming, and tasty
The snow has been quite good for providing lots of free fun with the children, although I think we have all had enough of it now!!
Is it just me or is January lasting forever???? Looking forward to payday and another month down.
Might have a scout about later for some ebayable stuff, need to start getting some more overpayments generated!0 -
Hi ladybird, glad the kids are enjoying the snow - my DS is having a ball - the only problem is the tumble is on loads cause I have to keep drying his clothes!
Did you list any eBay stuff? Don't think I have anything left to list!
Hope you have a good weekend.

Hi LB,
Not just you, I think Jan seems to be the longest month too, think it's that after Christmas feeling that does it.
How did you get on with Ebay ?

Hurrah for a fresh new month!
Managed to earn £300 last month, although all of it was gobbled up by various bills associated with my little business. Have made £470 already this month so hit my monthly target already for Feb :j
Going to sit down with OH this evening and go through all the online accounts, update our spreadsheet and see what overpayments can be made from anything left over at the end of January.
Been using lots of food in the freezer up over the last week, could do with another big Lidl shop to get stocked up again for the next week.
Not found anything to ebay yet, struggling to find the time to get down to it. Not sure there is much left to flog really!
Hope everyone is doing well!0
