I know you didn't know that Mulberry was a brand but others might.

Obviously it is not OK to put the color as Mulberry if that is a brand.

    Yes you should.
It seems clear you're not willing to listen to why the item has been removed.
By calling it mulberry you are keyword spamming and as a buyer I find this very frustrating.

it was removed because ebay thought i was pretending it was a mulberry handbag or like a mulberry handbag, but if they had bothered to look a bit closer and read the description then they would see that i was just saying the colour was mulberry and i think it is perfectly acceptable to put the colour of an item in the title

it wasn't me who decided to call the colour of the handbag mulberry, it was purchased from a well known catalogue company

No they are not. If the item is mulberry coloured then it is perfectly legitamate to use the word mulberry.

Keyword spamming is when you use a word that has no relation to the item deliberately to get search hits.

i just did a google image search for the word mulberry. out of 21 items displayed on the first page only 2 of those items are the mulberry brand, 1 is a picture of a handbag and one is a purse. all the other images are pictures of mulberries and mulberry leaves...

if i look at the next few pages there is a website called aureliawool.com who are selling a wool where the colour is called mulberry, there is a mulberry coloured quilt called a mulberry quilt etc.

i know why ebay removed the item as it was explained in the email they sent me, the email is on my other computer but it was basically saying they thought i had attempted to list a fake mulberry handbag which is incorrect.

i was asking for advice on how i can relist it and what is and isn't allowed

...and we told you to avoid the mention of the word Mulberry. To that you said you shouldn't have to.

Given the way they police these things, I think you have no choice but not use the word mulberry. :(

If you do want to use it, then I would leave it out of the title, and just have it in the description, but make it clear that you mean the colour. i.e. "This is a mulberry coloured..." However, given you have already had a couple items removed, I wouldn't even risk that.

as i have already said, ebay said in the quiz i had to do that they allow you to mention a brand name for example "like mulberry" in the descrition just not in the title, so i presume since i only wanted to put that the colour was mulberry i would have thought i could safely put this in the description
