    theres a program called "Outlook Express Back -up " free full 30 day version might do it for you if your install/run on both hard disks then copy over

    Well done Toxteth! You have illustrated exactly what I did to find the *.dbx files!

    But make sure, susy, that you only look for the *.dbx files on your slave drive and not your master drive!

    ok, I have found, highlighted and selected copy, where do I copy them to? a new folder on my 'C' drive? (master)

    Note down where they are located, then go into OE Import and browse to the location you just noted.

    Thanks Toxteth. Was trying to find an easy way for susy to do that, since the file address location is rather long!

    ok, have done that, but still getting the same message 'no messages can be found in this folder or another application is running that has the required files open. Please select another folder or try closing applications that may have files open' I have definitely browsed the slave drive and I have closed all other applications (obviously apart from Outlook Express and MSE. What am I doing wrong

    Try closing Internet Explorer.

    Have you also closed the Search window in Explorer?
