I think if you are feeling bloated then its worth trying a different tactic.

Can those finding it hard to have the first drink keep a covered glass or closed bottle by the bed and have a good drink on waking? I also think you should try smaller glasses more often. The aim is to become well hydrated not water logged!!

Also, a nother thing if you are finding it hard, might be to try a straw.....i find i drink more with a straw than without.

I've had 4 x 200 ml and a 500ml bottle and have just refilled it. So if I manage that and another glass tonight I'll have had my 2 litres

I have only done just two litres. The irony is, i was rather thirsty a fewtimes when i could not get to water. Taking a glass up to have after a bath in a minute though...

I was up early this morning so i have just finished my second drink of the day. Warm water and a slice of lemon.

Now to fill up with fizzy pop. No wonder i get bloated... still its free calories and i dont like water that much.:o

According to Dr Batmanghelidj, author of 'Your body's many cries for water' you should drink half your body weight in fluid ozs, so for example if you weigh 140lb you should drink 70 ozs of water daily, and for every caffeine or alcohol drink you have, you should drink an additional 10 - 12 ozs of water to rehydrate you

He also reccomends for every quart of water, to have 1/4tsp of sea salt

The book is well worth a read, explaining how the lack of water affects illness and disease

I think i had better increase my fluid intake to 10 glasses in that case as i drink a lot of caffeinated drinks.

    I'll be p!ddling all day!

Or cut down/ replace the fizzy drink? Interestingly research links sugar cravings with sero cal fizzy drinks so ifyou are trying to lose weight might be worth considering?

One of dh's clients has corperate branding on drinking bottles, plastic but reusable. While i don't really like plastic i do find these good, they have an ergonomic shape. Dh was given one and i mentioned to his secretary i liked it, well....she just pisted me another one she found knocking about unwanted!
