I have always drunk terrible amounts of liquid. I hardly drink water
my fluid comes in the form of my 4 coffees a day. And that's it :eek:
I might have a look at the app Flutterby mentioned although I means I would have to leave the iPad on as I don't have an android phone or anything.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

I have just had my first glass of water as I have not been up long.
Each glass contains 200ml so I need ten of those in a day. I will try to have one an hour but will be out soon so it won't be so easy
I think I will need to buy some bottled water, I don't have a bottle to take water out in. I'll also need to not stray far from a looNot Rachmaninov

Water toxity is very real, and i suffered from drinking TOO much, when i was very first under medical observation with my illness, i was used to drinking as a very active healthy person, and my drastically changed situation found that too much.
3.5 litres or four is about right for me....in this warm weather especially.. I am always worried when people say they are drinking huge amounts because...as you say, this carries very real risks of its own.
 3.5 litres is an enormous amount for the average person. The Department of Health recommends that we should drink about 1.2 litres of fluid every day to stop us getting dehydrated. This works out to be about six 200ml or eight 150ml glasses, cups or mugs. In hotter climates, the body needs more water than this.
The total amount of water we lose each day and need to replace is in fact greater than this – about 2.5 litres – but we get 1 litre of the fluid we need from food and the body recovers 0.3 litres from chemical reactions in our cells. The rest needs to be taken from drinks.
All drinks count, but water, milk and fruit juices are the healthiest. It is best to avoid alcoholic drinks.

A Drink Enough Water thread is a great idea I'm just a wee bit worried that some people may over do it so wanted to say "Just be a bit careful, folks."0 -

Agreed, and why i put a two litre guide in the op. I am confident in the amount i drink only because i have done so under medical guidance in the past, having cut down from what was too much for me.0 -
I'll join you, my doc has put me on 40mg water tablets (as a side effect of my medication makes my knees and ankles swell).
I never drink enough (i just dont get thirsty). This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I'm in
I've been trying to do drink 1.5-2 litres of water a day for the last month after being shocked at how horribly crepey my skin was - I'm hoping that a combination of the water, FINALLY being able to have no heating on at all, and chucking the fags will help!!
Some days it's easy, some days I don't get thirsty at at all and struggle, but the wee test seems to be ok:)0 -
I am doing well. Had a litre and a half without feeling waterlogged, partly because its such wonderful weather. I have a friend voming for voffee later might i am going to stick with water. In case she would rather that too i have poured a jug and popped some rosemary and a lemon slice in it and popped it in the fridge.0

I am just going to have my third glass of water. I missed the one an hour ago - looked at the clock and then just forgot again. I never get thirsty and have been known to go all day without a drinkNot Rachmaninov

I've noticed this, I use Vaseline and normally have to put it on hourly, but since upping my water intake a few eeks ago I've noticed I'm using less, never linked to two before though!!
I'm also forever off to the loo now:rotfl:
I've done 8 out of my 10 glasses so far today
