I use a medium size tupperware container but I decant my flour and sellotape the flour type (plain or SR) onto the lid.
I decant because I was having a problem with flour mites and the flour manufacturers told me that the glue on the packaging attracts them so unless using almost immediately to decant to air tight container.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

I just fold the paper thing over - it's never occurred to me to put it anywhere else.

I never keep flour in the house for long because of flour mites.
I only buy a small bag when I know I'm going to want it for something, use what I want then either give it or throw it away. Not very MSE though!!
I don't bake so don't often have a use for it to be honest.0 -
My sister buys rice in large plastic jars from Costco and gives me the empty ones -they easily hold 3 lbs of flour .0

I use the old fashioned sweet jars. Some are inherited glass ones (my gran and mum used to use them) the rest are from a local tobacconist's shop (they sell a wide range of loose sweets) and were free for the asking.0 -

I bought mine from Asda they have a good range of cheap plastic ones and slightly fancy ones.
It is surprising how big a box you will need.
I bought 1 box, checked it was the right size and then went back and bought more. If you want really big ones Poundland do big ceral boxes for £1, I have oats and pasta in mine0
