Well, I have done my course, although not the course work, and have done my Dad's ashes which went as well as I expect these things to go, and the children are back at school today.
So that means it is time for me to get my act together. Instead, I am sitting on DFW making excuses why I am not doing the things I should be
I keep starting to do things, but then something (or nothing) just draws me away again. So far I have managed to put a load of washing in the machine, put some plants that I bought from the garden centre outside (not planted though) seen one client and made about a squillion cups of coffee.....
Room for improvement I think.
Perhaps I should give myself until 12 on here and then get on and do something..........like make lunch.
Someone give me a shake please!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hello my fellow timewaster..... Turn off the computer now and go and plant those plants.
Hope you feel OK after the ashes trip - don't blame yourself if it takes a while to get back to your normal human dynamo self!Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Was just over on the flylady thread.....
Honest, I was! the proof is over there coupled with my commitment to do some housework for the next hour :eek:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
i think i'm feeling the same way spent the morning procastinating but will need a kick up the !!! soon ...you kick me i'll kick you0

Right that's it, proved that I am not cut out to do anything remotely fly lady like ish type thing.
I have just put my DS's mobile phone through the washing machine
He spent all his birthday and pocket money on it and now it is a bit wet to say the least.
so, not only have I proved that I cannot do something as simple as a load of washing without causing a problem, I will prob have to buy a new phone for him
It is currently in the airing cupboard in the desperate hope that it will work again, otherwise it will have to be one of those things on the "things you never thought you could sell" thread.....
I need another cup of coffee now but that is not going to get this bloody housework done.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

I have to say I would have been more gutted if it had been my ipod! It is one of the only techie things I have!
Well, in the interests of flylady and stuff, I have actually done something!!
I have cleared and hoovered my hallway and tidied the coats, and have also sorted out my utility room!!
That way, at least if someone comes to the door, I am not so embarressed!
However, they do have to stay at the door - coming into the kitchen or the lounge is a definite no no still!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hi hypno
Have you taken the phone apart as much as you can? That helps.... you can tell other people have done it too from their (our) comments, can't you??
I'm not surprised you've had a "nothing" day today - the course, then your dad's ashes. You have to have a day off. I had a day off on Sunday and that was just because I'd gone to a concert, for heaven's sake!
Thats kind of weird hearing that you'd gone to Yorkshire with your dad's ashes - to spread them somewhere, presumably? My dad died in August, we got his ashes back a little while ago, and we're going to Yorkshire at some stage this year to put his ashes on his brother's grave. There's more of us than you have, I think - my mother, my brother and my sister, but as I think of it now.......... oof. Dreading it, really, but it must be done, to honour him.
Truly, don't try to do much today, take your ease. Thinking of you.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Take the battery out and all the covers off and dry it for at least 2 full days.
You *might* get away with it, but washing machines tend to be thorough..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)
