Right, the mobile phone is as dead as a dodo so will be going on ebay - there are a couple of water damaged phones on there so hopefully will get a few quid, and will then post on "things you never thought you could sell" thread on DFW!
The laptop def needs replacing as I need it for work, and I need it before 6pm today, so am having to use DH credit card to buy one, which I am not happy about, but cannot see any other way around it. I have found a couple of real cheapies at PC world so will go there.
I will try and find some way of getting the old one "re-furbed" or sold for spare parts or something to try and salvage something out of it. Pre light bulb I would have ditched it and bought a super duper one on the credit card without a moments notice. Oh how times have changed (for the better of course!).
Half way (more or less) through the month so it was time to update my signature totals (plus I wanted to see the good news before I have to add on the spending of the laptop!) and I was very pleased to see that I have now paid off more than £6000 this year alone! With my original target being £10,000 I am more than happy :jSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Hi El, thankfully as DS is only 11, the worst I find in his pockets are sweet wrappers and filthy goalie gloves. Sooo glad that we are not at the condom stage yet :rotfl:
I will leave the phone to dry out for a bit longer, just in case.....
The laptop has been ordered and should be with me by tomorrow lunchtime - £330  that has had to go on the credit card, but I have some things ending on ebay in the next day or so which are looking like they may reach that sort of total, so one will just have to cancel the other out, at least meaning that my overall debt total doesn't go back up again.
Bagged up a fivers worth of 10ps today - funny how the little things give you satisfaction when you are a DFW :TSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Imagine how excited I got this afternoon when I got 1p in my change and knew I had enough for another £1 bagged :T

Hypno - I'm just the same - getting really excited about the carboot sale I'm doing on Sunday raiding the house for thing to sell for 50p or £1 - rather than concentrating on the work that should be earnign me £180 a day. Doh!
Anyway I just logged onto say that I dreamed about you last night! You were tall with a mane of curly blond hair. Am I right?
I've been concerned that I'm too obsessed with MSE for some time and this confirms it!
Oh by the way you were playing tennis with your son in the dream - very wholesome.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
