Good evening! Kids back now from Karate and they opted out of race training this evening in order to watch the football, so back at home at last.
I have e-mailed the local college asking if I can go and chat to someone about the PGCE - I have such a variety of things that I can teach because it is only in the couple of years that I have moved into the work that I do now. Before that I was in a very different industry altogether with a whole string of lovely qualifications to match so I could work either with what I do now, or what I did then (making sense? No, I didn't think so!!) That is one of the reasons I need to have a chat with them, so that I can work out what they need and what I can do with the stuff I have got already!

Evening Hypno
First things first - did they win the £50???
Good idea to talk to the college. With your multiple talents you will surely find something they want you to teach. My OH did was booked for one lecture last year on a specialist topic, the college liked him and he is now teaching on a variety of courses, some of which he is barely qualified to teach and has to swot up on google the night before his lectures! If he can do it you surely can.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Oh yes, thanks for reminding me!! DD won £50 for most improved girl and decided to share it with DS because he really deserved to win the prize for most improved boy, in our opinion!
So this week, between them they have won £75 :j and they have decided to put it away until we go to Devon on our summer holiday when they can use it for their spending money - should buy them a fair amount of ice-creams in August!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Yes, very proud, although you notice that they didn't offer to pay the £75 winnings to Mummy! DD said they should keep the money because they had earned it! I said, what about the £160 that I have just paid for you to do this race camp, and she said "what about it?"

Have just had a close shave with a betting site!
Did a matched bet this afternoon and it has settled - There was £100 in my account at the bookie which I wanted to withdraw back to my debit card because it is no use keeping it at the bookie. Filled in the details for £100 and pressed the button then looked at my balance which instead of saying £0.00 said £200.00 - I had deposited £100 instead of withdrawing
Problem is that although my debit card had authorised the deposit that I did by mistake, there wasn't actually any money in my current account to fund it which would mean that I would now get charged £30 for going over my overdraft limit and as I only made £7 on the matched bet, that would not be a good thing! So swift move onto the internet banking to try and move money around to cover it in the hope that the computer will not have churned out one of those horrid "you have spent money you don't have so we will charge you tonnes for your error" letters in the two and a half minutes that I was in unauthorised overdraft!!!
The moral here is always check before you press "send"Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Oh no!! Surely if they do, you could ring the bank and ask for a gesture of goodwill? Nightmare!CCCS DMP:Feb 07
