Hi BAUK, you don't seem be doing so badly yourself. I hope that you managed to sleep well and that if the covers were creased, it was for all the right reasons ;)

I slept well last night but woke up this morning being very aware that I have no bread in, and I will be teaching all day. So do I

    a) go and get bread and bring it back before I go and teach
    b) get OH to send the children in the rain on an errand sometime this morning?
    c) dig out the breadmaker and get some baking before I go?

I think it will be a) because OH will have to bribe them with money for sweets to go in the rain. I don't even eat the stuff myself because I am allergic to yeast!!

Hope everyone has a good day xx

Well, solved the bread issue - told them to have pasta instead :D

It has rained all day and the children have gone a bit stir crazy in the house - they are such active kids that they are much happier running around outside or on their bikes - being indoors has not got the same appeal for them. I was teaching and OH was sleeping after doing a night shift, so not only did they have to stay in, but they had to stay quiet!

I have volunteered to take them swimming tomorrow to make up for it - well, I say swimming, I will sit in the coffee area with a book, and they will be in the pool!

Hope you have dried off now Pania! The things we do for lurve!!

What lovely kids being quiet while daddy was in bed...I know how hard it is for them as my OH has always worked nights so the kids had to be quiet...it's hard when the weather is bad and they are so active....at least you'll get chill out time tommorrow as the kids use their energy up...sounds like a good bargain to me...lol

things we do for lurve indeed, don't know what you mean;)

Guess no skiing for the little ones this weekend, bet the swimming trip will be a release of an abundance of energy! have you called the pool and told them that you're coming? Lol:rotfl: they do sound like good kids for doing that though, remember when i was young and my dad worked nights, he said the thing that woke him up most was mum saying SHHHH!!

Have a great day hypno, hope it's a little drier for you.

Not skiing all weekend Pania, but they skied Friday night, Saturday Morning and they are at race camp (yes, skiing again) every day this week except today, with the usual race training still going ahead on wednesday evening and friday evening!!!!!

I took them swimming which got some of their energy used up but was good DFW wise and took my coffee with me instead of paying an extortionate amount for a piddly amount in a plastic cup.

Spent this afternoon indoors and watching films on TV together. Just a nice day, nothing spectacular. Lots of teas and coffees!!

So, nothing to report from the weekend really, but will be hitting DFW land with a vengence for the rest of the week - batteries charged, and ready to go. People to see, letters to write, money to be claimed.........:D

Gosh, your children's weekend has made me feel tired! Mine have vegged out today and look exhausted - the weather was pants so our walk went out of the window!

I need to do the DFW harder this week, ran out of ideas to make quick cash - think I will try and understand the matched bettings

Enjoy your tea - I've made some lemon drizzle cake I could cyber over :o

    Dont talk about cake.

We just searched the house for something resembling cake or biscuit and found nothing
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches
