Hi Hypno...what a mixed up couple of days for you!!!...So glad the grass came out of DDs eye...what a relief!!!
Well done on paying more off the egg card and the holiday is a fantastic idea...that's what your dad would probably of wanted...he'll be so proud of you!!
The bank charges..sorry ..I don't have a clue about these but checking CAG website won't do any harm...
You are working really hard and I hope you are getting some time for yourself...0 -
Hi Hypno
Sorry to hear about the worrying letter - and what a long wait you've got til the court date. Try not to worry as it's out of your hands now and worrying won't change the outcome.
Good luck with the insurance claim, I'm sure youve got a good case there.
I am in awe that you have paid off £8k this year. That is a wonderful achievement, I hope you feel very proud. You will smash that 10k target in no time.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Thanks hun x
I have decided to give myself a day off from stressing and worrying today (that said, the postman has not been yet so who knows what crap he will bring me), to have a good weekend tutoring, and to get fighting everything next week when hopefully my energy reserves will have been recharged a bit!
In my "what small steps" thread I have started to add that one small step I will take is to "be positive". If I make a decision to be positive, then I am much more likely to be so. If I wake up feeling "here we go again" then I will feel negative all day.
OK, so the theory is good, let's see how the practice turns out.

Postman hasn't been yet so I think I may go out and visit a friend for coffee so that I do not have to deal with anything horrid until I get home (how awful is that!!)
Enjoy the sunshine, the weekend is expected to be crap weatherwise, so make the most of it while it is here!

Hi Hypno
Good for you - stay positive and enjoy the weekend. I agree, it's good to remind yourself to be positive and I try to do this too.

Don't fear the postman!
I've actually found since joining up to DFW that I no longer fear opening the envelopes, partly because I keep sending off for freebies, but even when the 'bad' stuff arrives because I actually deal with it rather than sticking my head deeper into the sand.Total Debt 13th Sept 2006 (exc student loan): £6240.06

I love the postman (in a strictly platonic way, not a mad passionate bored housewife type way) and I love getting post!
I am such a saddo that it is one of the highlights of my day! I even like getting credit card bills as I know it is one more step on the DF highway.
In fact, (hangs head in shame) I lovecoming back from holiday as I know I will have a whopping pile of post.
BTW...ssshhh....am sneaking on here at work0 -
hmmm chocoholic, maybe best change your name to postaholic! still getting that sinking feeling when it drops on the mat but only as i've had to have it for so long, getting used to getting good news now!!debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0
