    Hypno,

Do you want me to sent my DD down to see you? She loves cleaning ovens and got very excited recently because I bought her some new marigolds
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches

well i'm back and survived the weekend, but only just.
Sounds terrible but hope don't get another visit like that for a while.
Had to say at least once this is my house and you will respect my opinion.
Never realised how tiring it was to spend a weekend having to restrain yourself from washing someones mounth out with soap which is what we were threatened with if we ever swore.
At least this place is still respectable though

Hi Lemon Tree! Glad you survived, but it sounds like you had a tough time of it!

As you say, the house looks good. Every cloud, hey!

  • Hi Hypno.... glad u mentioned that housework business, because I kinda *forgot* to do mine.... also felt bad posting about housework after the stuff with ur sister - hope she's doing ok?
Managed to maintain the bathroom all week :D but the kitchen needs a little bit of attention again.... I didn't actually clean the oven the first time :o , OH has managed to burn something onto the inside of my previously clean micrwave, and the dog insists on walking on the borders of the garden when its wet  . Was planning to do the lounge today.... I'll see how that one goes! Think I'll concentrate on the kitchen tonight, and do the lounge plus one other next week! Whoever thought housework was so hard!?!

Hi! Sis seems to be doing ok, thank you.

I have stopped now for the evening. Did almost everything on my list but seems that it doesn't look THAT much better than it did before  All that effort and I feel as though there is still so much more to do!

Oh well, I must be making *some* differences to the state of the house - and there are still 4 weeks until Christmas so as long as the house is in good shape top to bottom I will be fine.

This coming week, as well as the dining room I am going to do the main bathroom (never use it myself so goodness knows what I will find  ), the cloakroom, and the stairs and landing - I made a start on the stairs today but need to get them finished. Also need to polish in the hall etc.

Finally, I need to clean the fridges out - I have been really bad recently and wasted a lot of food - because I have not been eating properly (bad girl) I have bought loads of fresh stuff and lots have just gone to waste. As a result, the fridges need a bit of a freshen up.....
