  • Well I've started on the housework challenge, I managed to clear the living room, hurray :j it was over run with toys, clothes, dvd cases, dvd disks without their cases, the list goes on.

So yesterday ds and I bagged up all his toys while hubby put them all up stairs, back in the bedroom where they belong, ds now has only 1 basket with a few toys in the living room. All the dvd disks and their cases have been paired up and put back in the rack and all the clothes have been put in our room to be sorted out today.

    Today's to do list is:

~Empty the dining room and give the floor a thorough sweep and wash (we have wooden flooring and dust and dog hair get everywhere.
    ~Thorough clean of the kitchen
~Clothes washing, drying and put away

Well done on the ski fund, it's looking very healthy.
Hope you have a nice day

Hi all, just got back from teaching - seemed to go ok. I was being assessed so quite nervous, but managed to keep it together!

Have got a couple of hours now before I go to the bar job. Should really get on with the housework, but haven't even made a start. My bedroom is still tidy though, so that is an achievement in itself!!

4 hours a week, that is manageable I suppose, but I need to schedule it in somewhere.....4 hours a day though, that is probably more like what is needed :o

I had informal feedback straight after, which seems to be ok, but you never know until that formal one hits your desk!! I have a tutorial on Wednesday so it will be discussed there no doubt! It was really difficult because it was 2 x 1hr workshops for a practical subject, so more of a "whistlestop tour" than anything else! Was really difficult to give it the structure that is required for an assessed session - learning plan, scheme of work etc. Timing was difficult but I managed not to run over, so that shows good planning (or good luck) so I think I should be ok.

Bloomin shattered now though......the stress of assessed sessions!!!!!!

That works out at about 2 lots of 15 mins each day then. That is not such a scary prospect.

I have a friend's 40th to go to tonight. I am really tired and don't want to go. Have to drive so can't drink, and having sent OH and the kids to Milton Keynes skiing, can't afford to drink anyway! Also still have to provide lodger with food so have to cook something at some point (don't know when as I will be at work until just before the party starts).

But can't not go to the party. Everyone else will give it me in the neck if I stay home, and I am fed up with justifying my sad life!!

Maybe I will go for a while but not stay late. I could do with doing some housework while everyone is out.......how sad is that......thinking about not going to a party just to get some time to do much needed housework instead.

    I need help!!

sounds to me like it's more time for yourself you need hun....forget the house work etc...it's amazing isnt it how we feel the need to please others all the time and end up running ourselves ragged ..the book covers some of this ...i know you say you dont plan on drinking or staying long but really it sounds to me like you need a huge bubble bath with a relaxation c.d on especially as the kids etc are away for the day wish i lived close enough to you so i could do your shift ..cant guarantee i could cook anything edible but i would try and i would even out the dreaded make up on and go to the party for you ...big hugs hun
