Glad there is nothing horrid wrong, duchy - I hope the pain etc eases very soon. KC, a little bit of fresh air will be fab, but don't do too much - it is very cold out there!!

PP, I missed the cheap car rescue thing, but need to keep a close eye on it - we need to have some form of cover in place.

Today I am invigilating all day.....I hope you all have a good day, and I will catch up with you later xx

    Hi Hypno

Hope the invigilating has gone ok again - will you get the money for that soon? - you must have earnt a fair bit now.

I'm raring to go with the next bit of my housework challenge this week. I was to try and 'deep clean' all the bathrooms (well downstairs toilet, bathroom and ensuite - it's a new house and they all seem to have that many bathrooms - we wouldn't have had all those bathrooms by choice!) We keep them clean but they've lost their newness now but I'm sure I can make them look better. We haven't been home much this week so the rest of the house is still ok I think - just a quick tidy round and a vacuum and that's me done!

Had one hell of a morning on the phone to John Lewis though - ordered something from their website which I've been saving my Olympic Challenge money for for ages and they cancelled my order straight away without contacting me first because they didn't like the delivery address (my work place which is a University) So I spent ages on the phone on Wednesday night and then they phoned me 3 times this morning before I finally got the 'goodwill gesture' I was happy with. the trouble is the money's been claimed from my account so my available balance is £109 lower than it should be and I have to wait for them to release it and then the bank to process it. I was livid when they suggested I reordered straight away - do they think I have a spare £109 sitting about to reorder with before my first money was refunded - it took 5 people before I was happy - just got to wait for the money to show as available again and for the goodwill gesture to arrive but that's nearly half the cost so it'll be ok in the end! Sorry to have that little rant but I was so annoyed!

Anyway on ward and upwards - better get on - so so busy at work but needed a quick MSE break!

    Take care x

YL, I am not surprised you were annoyed!!! Hope everything is sorted and arrives soon.

Just finished invigilating for the day - won't get paid for it until the end of next month though, but at least it will arrive. Tomorrow I have two workshops for Adult Ed to run, and as yet, not done a plan for it, which is a bit slack of me, considering that the workshops are being observed by my assessor for the college and by the Adult Ed boss.....hmm...working late tonight methinks! Why do I always leave things to the last minute.....answers on a postcard accompanied by a £5 note to:........:p

I hope everyone else has had a good day!

    RAC on Quidco:

Not quite as cheap as it was, but £21 cashback on a £34 policy is still fairly good value for money and it covers the basics!

Thanks for the link PP, will investigate!!

Prep shouldn't take too long, but really I should have done it before.....I will do it when I get home from the kids karate and have cooked dinner.

Checked on line banking today and £51 for some tutoring I did ages ago has gone in, so have transferred that over to the ski fund.....slowly......very slowly.....we are getting there.

Result from Co-op -insurance now sorted and second payment refunded-hasn't tracked on Quidco but hopefully I can sort that as it's £70. Hilton also sorted-£188 reversed and an apologetic 2000 Hilton points added to my account there. The chap there told me he likes a feisty woman who stands up for herself !!!!

Yes, heading for half way. Hope to hit 3k by the end of next week. In fact I HAVE to hit slightly more than 3k by the end of next week otherwise I can't pay the next instalment

Just eating dinner while I type - not good manners, but hey! It is a sort of breakfast risotto using bits and pieces of leftovers and things laying around.....used pudding rice instead of risotto rice......added bacon, mushrooms, a tin of chopped tomatoes, a couple of spring onions and then beat a couple of eggs and added them to make an egg fried rice type thing. Very tasty considering I had no idea what I was doing.....will def try it again - everyone is clearing their plates, such a good sign!!

Kettle is about to go on and then I will sit and prep (popping back on MSE from time to time just to check up on you lot :o ).
