  • aww hugs for you I can totally understand why you feel cross. What are the organisers doing about it? At the end of the day it's criminal damage and should be taken seriously & childs parents should pay up! It's not on & I'd kick a@@ if I were you! This sort of thing needs to be stamped out sharpish. ALso horrible for you that you cant give them a hug but at least you've spoken and sent verbal hugs! Hang in there but try & have an early night - you've been rushing around all day & thngs will feel SO much more manageable after a good nights sleep! Hugs for you!

Had a message back from Austria to say that housemum is sorting things.

Then had a phonecall to say OH grandpa (is 94) has had a series of strokes. Doesn't look good.

Going to bed now before any more crap news comes my way.

Speak to you in the morning and sorry to be a misery guts :(

Oh no, I was catching up on your thread and getting so excited by the 2k ski total and then read the two bits of bad news.

Re the little cretin damaging DS's stuff :mad::mad: - I hope the housemum can identify the culprit and persuade the parents to cough up, and, just as important, explain to the little **** just why you don't behave like that.

Re grandpa, that is very sad and worrying news and we'll all be thinking of you and your OH and hoping that grandpa is not suffering.

Just adding my voice in, hypno, sorry to hear those two really bad pieces of news today. I do hope the housemother can find out who's done it and insist that the parents of that child pay up - that would be the normal policy, surely? Certainly has been in the child-to-child damage that goes on in my neck of the woods.

And OH's grandpa - I'm so sorry to hear about this. I wonder how far away you are geographically? Its always harder, makes everything more difficult and more complicated - like with the kids, I suppose.

I hope you slept well, and there's no more carp news. All the best.

I was so pleased to hear about the ski fund going up so much and was just going to post something when I thought I better continue to the end of the thread first. So sorry to hear about your OH's grandpa and also what's happened to your DS, I echo everyone else - I hope this child's parents pay for new boot warmers, there's no excuse for that.

Hope you've had a good night's sleep and have a better day on Friday :grouphug:
