Thanks guys, I don't have any idea when I find out about the Barclaycard, but if I get it, it will be a nice bonus.
My back is hurting because of all the digging so just popped in for (another) coffee!!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hi Hypno I spoke to them on the phone and they said they let you know in writing within 7-14 days...so here's keeping fingers crossed for each of us!!!
Well done on 2 NSDs!!!....be careful with your back Hypno we don't want you off work do we0 -
I have done a fair bit of digging today - finished at about 4ish (well, my back finished even if I didn't!). There is still a fair bit of work to do but I am getting there and it will be great when it is done. My friend has grown loads of seedlings so even the plants are free :j
Spent £2 on the children's ski training today, other than that a NSD so I am happy with that. Here's hoping for another low day tomorrow.
I updated my totals today and have now paid almost £6800 off my debt this year out of a target for the year of £10000 so nicely on target. That means that I don't need to panic so much about making any overpayments while things are lean this month. I have to admit that I was quite surprised to see my debt go down so much in April because I had to spend out on the laptop which obviously went on the credit card.
So, all in all, despite a sore back, a pretty good day!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
i think you'll be revising that total before the end of june the way your going you'll have it done for then0

A reasonable day today so far DFW wise - have done another mystery shop for the manic mystery shop marathon mission, seen enough clients today to pay today's bills (shame it doesn't cover the rest of the month!) and done my supermarket shop coming to a grand total of £13 ish.
However, April's milk bill also needed paying which was £35 and I have two more over limit charges put on my bank account, although when hypno v barclays comes to court, I will be asking for those back too.
I received a timetable for next week's invigilating - I reckon that I will clear about £75 next week from it which will be worth doing, although I won't get paid until 5th June unfortunately. Hopefully more invigilating dates will follow over the coming weeks.
I got really upset this afternoon at the post about DFW vs BR boards. I know I should just let it go over my head but to think that anyone can judge us like that makes me  I think I have taken the whole thing personally and I shouldn't do that.

Hi Hypno ..don't get upset..it's not worth it...(not that I know what I'm talking about but will go and have a look)....0

I can certainly see where you are coming from and it isn't worth getting upset over those idiots and I think they are getting the idea now. There's no need for them to be like that at least we can have a clear conscience as we are paying ours off....I couldn't have lived with myself had I gone down that route if it hadn't been necessary..though it is for some people understandably...
Please ignore these people because I am very proud of you as you have achieved so much and I know we will have definitely learnt a valuable lesson for life ...a lesson that you are bringing to your children and many other people and we can still help all the others on here as we are not judgemental as some are on that other board.0 -
Thanks hun. I knew I shouldn't get worked up about it, and normally I am pretty good about letting these things go by, but this time it just got to me.
Anyway, I AM proud of what I have achieved, and I believe most on these boards are proud of what they have achieved too.
We will get there, and on my debt free date I will be having the biggest virtual DFW party!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
You'll be pleased to know...those posts have mysteriously disappeared now0

Hey hypno
Sorry to hear you got upset by the DFW v BR today - I saw a couple of pages at lunchtime. I've learned, from bitter experience, not to take part in arguments on the net - I post truthfully, and heartfelt, but when controversy starts to rage, I step out. Won't go there. I've seen communities destroyed by it and individuals confirmed in isolationist positions so many times, I just don't think that that sort of discussion can be had on the net between people who don't already have a massive area of agreement about the topic in question. And that isn't the case here.
Your passion is much better spent elsewhere (now I have to Go Advanced to get a smiley!)
and here it is.........;)2023: the year I get to buy a car0
